Gold:
Pape Matar Sarr (Metz)

Sarr made his first back-to-back starts in Ligue 1 for Metz since October as they drew 1-1 in a big scrap at the bottom of the table with Clermont on Sunday.

The 19-year-old impressed in a busy performance in an attacking midfield role at the tip of a midfield diamond and the teenager grabbed an assist. Sarr seized quickly on to a loose ball in the first half and played an instant perfectly-weighted first time ball between the lines to Nicolas de Preville, who ran through to put Metz into the lead.

Clermont hit back with an equaliser before Metz went down to 10 men after a red card but they held on for a point.

Sarr was WhoScored's man of the match with a rating of 7.51, which included two key passes and a shot on target, as well as three tackles and two clearances.

It has been a tough developmental season for Sarr with Metz bottom of Ligue 1, two points behind Bordeaux and five points adrift of 18th-placed Clermont, who lie in the relegation play-off spot.

The teenager has now played 28 times for the French strugglers this season before he aims to show Tottenham what he's about when he returns to N17 in the summer.

I think if Bournemouth come up, that'd be a good place to loan him.

Maybe Brighton would be interested as part of a Bissouma deal *the old Frazier Campbell treatment

Signs of life. I went through his game log the other day and noticed he's barely played the two months prior to these recent starts. Not sure if that is down to injury or coach preference but its good to see he got the nod in attack and grabbed an assist too.

Remember that he missed a whole month due to the ANC.

Gold:

Sarr more than played his part as Metz just about kept themselves in the fight to remain in Ligue 1 with a 2-2 draw at Montpellier.

The 19-year-old battled away for the full 90 minutes, earning himself a yellow card and a 7.03 rating from WhoScored for his performance.

The teenager had three shots on goal from midfield, one on target, made two dribbles and had an 83.3% pass success rate from his 30 passes. He also made four tackles, two interceptions and one clearance.

The point means that with three games left to play this season, Ligue 1's bottom side Metz are eight points behind 17th-placed Clermont and six behind 18th-placed St Etienne in the relegation play-off spot.

Sarr will come up against a fellow Tottenham player on Sunday in Tanguy Ndombele as Metz host Lyon in the lunchtime kick-off.

Sarr has played 31 times for the French strugglers this season and he will look to show Tottenham what he's about when he arrives in N17 this summer, hardened by his experiences this year.

Mad that Gold writes regular updates on Pape Sarr and seems to not have watched him play all season.

Sarr got 90 as Metz unbelievably win again and are 18th and in the play off slot to stay up.
Their last games is away to......PSG..
19th place (same points) St Etienne away to Nantes who are 9th.
Metz have a 6 goal better GD.
