Player Pape Sarr

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He's an interesting looking human being, like Peter Crouch's limbs attached to a 15 year old's head and torso.

But a very promising player, you can see what Paratici found appealing about him. Very mobile, understands the game well, high level technical ability, he's got a bright future.

I saw more of what Bissouma did at Brighton from Sarr last night than I have from Bissouma himself all season.

No because someone needs to be able to pick a pass for 3 outstanding forwards.
If not Perisic then who ?
Obviously you know more about the game than Glenn, so I await your diagnosis.

We are not obliged to agree with every ex-pro....... If we are, then by the same logic no-one should be questioning any of the manager's selections either.

So, side stepping the BS..... The question remains: Why Perisic?

The guy is a winger/wingback who's 'trade' is defined by crossing and shooting; not creative passing....... Playing centrally and 'playmaking' would require an entirely different skill-set.

"Why not?" isn't exactly constructive reasoning......

Conte probably makes Bissouma think too much. He needs to be free to do what he does best.

You never know till you try it !!
And your alternative is.......?

Fascinating thought process at play here, no doubt.......

Not playing a player(s) unsuited to CM..... (Especially cos we have no other fit LWB to fill the position that Perisic would leave empty! .....I'm guessing you and Glenn didn't think of that though.)

I don't expect Conte to deviate from 2 MFs so we almost certainly go with 2 of PEH, Sarr & Skipp until the end of the season.... Our creativity will be expected to come from the WBs, Kane, Kulu and a little but of Danjuma.

Bloke can't run either he'd leave way to many holes in center midfield.

There's reason that professional managers don't play people wildly out of position, and it isn't because they're stubborn while we are maverick seers who aren't afraid to think outside the box.

Sarr is 20.. in the next 2? ish years, he'll get stronger.. and once he does, hopefully he'll have gained more confidence in his ability and make the line breaking runs that ATM is missing from his game, he's got the quick feet and a decent positional understanding... We need to be a touch patient and I'm pretty sure were gonna end up with a REAL top end all round middie.

Reckon he will start running with the ball this season and maybe even score a goal or 2 as his confidence grows.

Hjoberg ?

Oh, good old this.
Player XX said so, you know less than him, so you should shut the fuck up.

Sorry but that leaves you yourself looking pretty dumb. If all you can do is climb on shoulder of some ex players.
Also they talk unlimited amount of shit. VDV claimed that Spurs would be title challengers with Ziyech.
Klopp once hailed Lallana as "tehcnically the best player he has coached". FFS Conte has been starting Son in all games and mostly in role that is absolutely not suited for him. So we should collectively just suck their dicks because "they know more" ?
Pretty weird opinion, but you yourself can follow it. I expect nothing less then to see you only posting quotes from former players / current managers. Cause ALWAYS they know more and better then you ever will.

Now what goes for Perisic - he has been absolutely shocking in number of games recently. So slow and static. He would not "pick a pass" in most congested area of the field to anyone with this kind of acceleration and movement speed.

But if you honestly want an alternative then we have 2 much better in that role - Kulu and Kane.
Then with options within Richie, Danjuma, Son and Moura to be running at their passes further up the field.
