Jose is more of a DeLorean. Cutting edge in its time, an amusing curiosity now.If it was a Ferrari it was up on bricks, vandalised, past its best with cock piss mourinho sprayed down the side.

A Sinclair C5?Jose is more of a DeLorean. Cutting edge in its time, an amusing curiosity now.
This coming season will be worse no matter how much you hate Moureen.Because I hate the football Mourinho plays, I hate his way of handling people in the team, throwing people under the bus and that was the second year, the year he always loses it.
But maybe you are right, I was probably hoping that he would have changed. The weakness of people. Always hoping.
This coming season I'm hoping that Paratici has an eye for football, that he's choice of coach is a really good choice, that new players are players that will make an impact, that we will be rid of Sissoko (and others) and that we will play a brand of football that I enjoy watching. And that I can come to London at the new stadium and see Spurs live.
Have you only just started supporting Spurs or just got a sky subscription?Sky are saying were after right back lamptey. Top top player. Glad we get this kid. Potential to be best right back in europe.
I would assume that while a head coach/manager is competent in all areas of coaching they will still rely on there staff to be specialists in specific areas whether it fitness, defence and so on.When other teams bring in managers do they have to bring in coaches because their manager is no inept at a key aspect of the game?
I know that managers will bring in guys to work with certain areas but I don't think I have ever heard of it being a positve that a manager is so bad at coaching offense/defense that we will be fine because we can bring in a coach to help him with that.
Maybe I don't pay attention to other managerial hires enough but doesn't it make sense to bring in manager that is competent in all areas of coaching?

Surely it would be a sensible thing to bring someone in to aide him considering he hasn't got his right hand man anymore
footballl is going the way of nfl - specialist coaches and players.
changes in play to bring on attackers for certain parts of game and defenders at other times.
and always specialist coaches for defence and others for attack.
I heard at Roma he had pretty much all his first team defenders out injured for lengthy periods.
Sounds like vintage Spurs then.I heard at Roma he had pretty much all his first team defenders out injured for lengthy periods.

I understand bringing in coaches that will have more of a focus on offense or defense but I am not sure I have ever heard it said like we are hearing here like we will bring him in because the manager sucks at one aspect of the game and that supposed to be a good thing.
Yh I think that's probably the media trying to make a mockery of the whole thing it's them saying like this guy plays good football but his teams aren't very good at the back and then they hear his assistant isn no longer part of his team and he happened to be the defence coach. So now it's like we need a defence coach which we would need anyway.I understand bringing in coaches that will have more of a focus on offense or defense but I am not sure I have ever heard it said like we are hearing here like we will bring him in because the manager sucks at one aspect of the game and that supposed to be a good thing.
Yeah, the game is so complicated at this point I don't see why you wouldn't have specialist assistant coaches. I really don't think it's possible for one person to be good at everything, not to the level this league demands. I'd even say that being able to delegate and recognize good ideas in staff is a big part of being a good manager today.
When we hire a head coach, we're really hiring a team.
I don't think anyone says that's supposed to be a good thing. Just recognizing that we're not hiring a perfect product but we can absolutely improve on those potential weaknesses, the same way that inexperienced coaches can lean on a much more experienced one (e.g. Gerrard and Beale) and the result remains quite fruitful.
Personally I'm not sure how much of some managers' success is really down to their backroom because we rarely get that kind of insight, but I'd wager that it's more than people think.
So you still think, after 35 years, that one line on Sky Sports, in early June, saying we fancy Lampty means he'll be a good player for us?Been supporting tottenham for 35 years. Links to area as well as know tottenham and edmonton well.
