Bit of a misleading headline. He says he’s happy and has lots of work to do but speculation is part of the job. Hardly batting it away, but that wouldn’t go with the spurs are useless line of thought being banged out daily in the media.

Just imagine if he again misses out on the top 4. People would still want him.
Yeah, it's kind of insane how unclinical they are. I read Just how unlucky are Brighton? Expected goals analysis of Graham Potter's side which notes that as of a month ago, Brighton were FIRST in xP in the league. They're just shockingly "unlucky" in constantly outplaying teams but never getting results - but what's kinda interesting to me is that Potter's seem to historically underperform their xP, like he was 5th in xP with Swansea but finished 10th. Is he just bad at spotting strikers, or maybe the playing style has a hidden bias in xP that doesn't translate to results? I'm not sure but I admit most of my intrigue with him is just seeing what he could do if handed a genuinely elite strikerThey on average have 51% of the ball if I remember correctly. They are not a constant pressing team. I swear people just don't watch football.
Take it from me. Have missed one game of theirs this season. They have not struggled against teams that sit in a low block. They struggle at finishing.

It is a big risk. We don’t need anymore losers at the club. We’ve got enough already!
So results matter when it comes to rodgers?Just imagine if he again misses out on the top 4. People would still want him.
Stop.I want Ryan to stay the more I see of him in the job. He understands how to talk to modern footballers and how to work with them because he is one, and that man management seems to be about 90 per cent of the job nowadays.

It's like people just don't listen....
As soon as Tottenham or other top 6 teams arrive, the opposition play a totally different way.
We have absolutely no idea at all if Potter would have any success whatsoever against 2 thirds of the league as a Spurs coach.
It may be Brighton Vs Burnley and Spurs Vs Burnley, but that Burnley team will be totally different.
We just don't know if it'll work. I'd rather let someone else find out. Let him go to an Everton or even a West Ham. If he succeeds there the go back for him when we sack out next manager. Which is guaranteed within 3 years.
So results matter when it comes to rodgers?
But when it comes to Potter results are irrelevant right
It’s not all about achievements. It’s about the way they were made. If Steve Bruce had the same exact CV but played his dreadful trademark football nobody would vote for him to come to spurs.Graham Potter played once for England U21s, as a manager he got a team in Sweden promoted through the equivalent of moving a team from the Southern League to League Two. He got Swansea to 10th in the Championship and managed to keep Brighton up by the skin of their teeth.
The way his reputation has grown is a real mystery.
I think his reputation is based on his desire to play attractive football. Most managers in a relegation battle play ten men behind the ball (JM Style) but Potter believes in keeping the ball.Graham Potter played once for England U21s, as a manager he got a team in Sweden promoted through the equivalent of moving a team from the Southern League to League Two. Yeah but why don't we hire someone with a good CV?It’s not all about achievements. It’s about the way they were made. If Steve Bruce had the same exact CV but played his dreadful trademark football nobody would vote for him to come to spurs.
We tried the amazing fantastic CV with Jose and was a disaster. I think we should gamble. Potter looks like a great gamble imo.Yeah but why don't we hire someone with a good CV?
Like, I buy that Brighton have had just poor luck to not have better results this season, and that xG reflects that.
But....that's the best argument? We're going to hire a guy because advanced stats say his relegation fodder team isn't THAT bad?
If playing swashbuckling expansive football across multiple divisions to no particular effect is our criteria, Ian Holloway would be happy to take the job, I'm sure.
Just give Ryan mason the wheelHITC: Rui Vitoria is the latest manager to slip through Tottenham Hotspur’s grasp
Are they taking the piss now? Waste of web space cunts.
What was Poch's CV before coming here?Yeah but why don't we hire someone with a good CV?

I'm not saying it won't work.Quality on the pitch typically wins out.
He will get us in their final third, when teams are parked, and still create chances. We just have better players than Brighton.
Your first line is funny as fuck as you historically don't listen or step one foot outside your comfort zone.
