Great post, Fatty.

Whoever we appoint will either fail miserably, or succeed in taking us to the edge of success then be sacked when the appropriate backing doesn't materialise.

We should all know the story by now
Let’s be honest if you are a manager who actually wants to win stuff why would you come to Spurs to work under levy? The best we can expect is a washed up has been , looking for a decent pay cheque! Welcome to Spurs Rafa !

All the helpful daily advice for Harry is that he needs to win trophies and he seemingly now wants to be at a side that are challenging for and winning those trophies. The two sides that have been winning most of the trophies over the last 10-15 years are the Chavs and Citeh. In these financially straitened Covid times, clubs that are financed by oil rich autocratic states are immune from the financial penury that applies everywhere else. The dominance of Citeh and Chavs will only grow over the next few years. City of Chavs surely the destination?
If you want to win something then yes them 2 sides would be your best bet , however I hope that Harry has to much respect to go to one of them 2 cheating clubs! Fair enough Walker has won a lot of trophies since he left but they mean fuck all when your cheating like they do !

I am worried that Hitchens is still in his job. If we were going to hire a new DOF surely Hitchen would have gone.
Hitchen's title is technical director. Which includes more than just scouting.

Theoretically you could remove the scouting duties from Hitchen to the new guy and Hitchen can instead focus on other stuff, like the academy or such like Sherwood did when he was technical director.

We do not need a big name who’s been at a big club. Anyone that has succeeded won’t come to Tottenham hotspur. An average one won’t get us what we need.

We have less money than our rivals. We need a coach that can 1)develop young talent, 2) get the team to gel and as a group, outperform the sum of the individual talent.

We also need a scouting group that buys low/sells high and does it smartly. It is ok to sell.

Dele should have been sold years ago while his potential was huge and before his value tanked. Someone like Dier is similar. Then we need to reinvest the money we get on more young talent.

This is the only way we can win a major trophy. We won’t win one from holding onto 30 year old has beens like sissoko. We were doing this with pochs team but just let it get stale.

We are going have face facts we are going to have to be a selling club simple as.....vertonghen, alderwield, sissoko, Lamela all had/ been here far too long

Whoever we get, the board wont back them and 18 months down the line the same thing will happen and they will be blamed and sacked. Until levy and enic go nothing good will happen at spurs

I’m jumping on the Potter bandwagon. Would love a good English manager. We still need a strong DoF to save us from Levy and his diabolical footballing decisions.

Hurry up someone and step forward and beg for the job please, because Big Sam will out of a job soon and we know what Levy’s like....: ostrich:
The sadist in me would be quite excited by a Fat Sam appointment.....

Just to see the positive spin the Levy freaks try and put on it.

One man at club i tip my hat to is david pleat. 76 years old and been key to our scouting and youth players development over years. Identified dele alli and think hes currently looking at a striker at Northampton to give seal of approval. What service pleat has given to club. Respect.

Do you not think a lot of people are bored of people defending them ?

I'm not defending Enic just so fucking bored of the "woe is us, what does anything matter, let's just default as a club"

it's tiresome and it's stupid and reductive, actually getting in a good young tactical coach can actually change everything without spending billions.

People ignore the money that has been pumped into this squad on players like Ndombele, Lo Celso, Sanchez, Sessegnon, Bergwijn,Hojbjerg etc etc.

if these guys all lived up to their value and potential we'd be much better off. it's not like ENIC have never spent anything? we've prob outspent Leicester for eg!

A good coach with a can change everything (exhibit A - Chelsea)

If only he knew how to get a woman without cash being part of the deal he would have been a credible manager :-)

Opens his / her post with I'm not defending ENIC.

Then spends the rest of the post defending ENIC

It really is like some kind of psuedo psychological phenomenon is taking place here. People no longer realise they're doing it.
