This gets me very excited.
A manager who knows how to win now, not in the past. A sporting director who has worked at one of the biggest clubs in the world.
GET IT DONE.
You can tell by rival fans kicking up a fuss about it, this is the right move.
Tell me all you know about Paratici?
Yep, ditchin' Hitchen and his January bitching.
It is all shite, you're right... but it's all there is to go on at the moment and it's been 84 years since we had a manager.Weird that we are now in talks with the guy who we pissed off so badly last week by flirting with Poch.
Does anyone actually believe any of the utter shite posted by so called ITK or journalists?
Name enough names and dates and you’ll eventually strike lucky.
Great ....
My concern is that is the same bargain we made for Mourinho. And we won nothing. If we are serious about being extremely short-termist, I want someone else above Conte who will be doing the long-term work so that Conte being Conte doesn't matter. We don't have that person though, and the links to the guy from Juve do not inspire me. Conte would be a great manager for a club with an established vision and long-term plan in place including a Sporting Director with a well-established relationship with the board and plenty of power.Agree with you completely on the squad, I think how "bad" it is is drastically over stated here.
I think there needs to be a clear out, and of course some key additions, but I dont think its the several year over haul as commonly stated.
I DO think more important is a clean slate, someone to reinvigorate the players. Which is one of my key issues with Poch, I fear itll fall into old habits very quickly if he returns.
On the other side, Conte, high energy and passion, huge work rate - could be just what they need.
So?
Not meant antagonistically, but really - so what if thats how it plays out?
If he comes in, wins the league/some trophies/gets us back in contention and wants backing, that seems fair.
If we refuse and he leaves, we are ledt in a far better position than we are now - so is it really something to worry about?

Or a week and a half, depending how your calendar works. It is all shite, you're right... but it's all there is to go on at the moment and it's been 84 years since we had a manager.
1. He's not Steve Hitchen
I usually beat them.
The problem is that I don't think we could even give them away. COVID has taken most clubs outside the Premier League to the wall, and there is a high likelihood that it will be very hard to shift players from Premier League squads to other places, unless we are willing to subsidize possibly everything. And that would then mean we have no revenue to buy with, since our finances aren't great either, even if they're better than almost everyone else. One of Levys greatest pitfalls, he needs to be prepared to give them away if need be for the benefit of the squad
