What's gets you so excited about the DoF?
He's overseen Juve fall season over the season in the CL whilst putting all the Clubs eggs into one basket to bring in Ronaldo with the specific target of winning CL. Who hired Pirlo and has seen them finish 4th (1st time they've not won in 10yrs) 13 points behind the leaders.
Conte is a top manager but I think he's the worst fit for Spurs than 80% of those listed in the poll.
Weird that we are now in talks with the guy who we pissed off so badly last week by flirting with Poch.

It is all shite, you're right... but it's all there is to go on at the moment and it's been 84 years since we had a manager.

My concern is that is the same bargain we made for Mourinho. And we won nothing. If we are serious about being extremely short-termist, I want someone else above Conte who will be doing the long-term work so that Conte being Conte doesn't matter. We don't have that person though, and the links to the guy from Juve do not inspire me. Conte would be a great manager for a club with an established vision and long-term plan in place including a Sporting Director with a well-established relationship with the board and plenty of power.
We don't fit any of that, and without that, I cannot see this going well.

We are acutely aware of the need to select someone whose values reflect those of our great Club and return to playing football with the style for which we are known – free-flowing, attacking and entertaining – whilst continuing to embrace our desire to see young players flourish from our Academy alongside experienced talent.
That does not describe Conte. What a fucking mess

The problem is that I don't think we could even give them away. COVID has taken most clubs outside the Premier League to the wall, and there is a high likelihood that it will be very hard to shift players from Premier League squads to other places, unless we are willing to subsidize possibly everything. And that would then mean we have no revenue to buy with, since our finances aren't great either, even if they're better than almost everyone else.
