Match Premier League - Home to Aston Villa - 03/11 - 2pm KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I’d put Udogie to LCB, and play Spence at LB.

We can’t have Davies plodding about with in a high line.

Fucking ridiculous that we didn’t add a left sided defender to the squad in the summer.
I get your point, pal.

But personally I'm done with Udogie for now. He can sit on the bench or even stay home for all I care. Kid doesn't give it his all, I got no time for him.

I too am worried about Big Ben & the high line, but I'd rather play a guy that gives 110% than that lazy kid. Heck, I'd even play Sarr or Roddy at LCB before I give Udogie a shot.

Im going to go for 2-1 Spurs tomorrow.

At home we are in pretty good form. I think Villa are an efficient team but we can get the better of them tomorrow.

Sky Prediction
I'm absolutely bouncing to be able to get 10/11 with Sky Bet on Aston Villa avoiding defeat.
The opposite can be said of Aston Villa, who aren't overly flamboyant but boy are they efficient and posses a streetwise manager in Unai Emery. Tottenham have lost nine of their last 16 Premier League games - only Wolves (12) have lost more since mid-April and the injury to Micky van de Ven only weakens them further.

If you take Man City out of the equation and just include Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and Woolwich, Emery has lost two of his last 12 away days against those teams and has beaten Spurs twice at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with Villa.

Emery can celebrate his 53rd birthday on Sunday with a victory that should mean he's in for a good evening.

Pretty shocking stat in there. I know our home form has been good, and that does give me some optimism. But 9 losses in the last 16 PL games? Shambolic.

Villa are everything we are not. Better than the sum of their parts, able to get results when not playing well etc

I just think we will be in for another disappointing afternoon and beating an under strength City side hasn't changed my mind about us.
Our last 16 home games with bits of last season and bits of this season:

Ah, the universal last 16 games metric.

Wonder if that conveniently cuts off at the Newcastle game. Before which we had 7 wins and 3 draws in the previous 12. (Inc beating Villa 4-0).

We can always cherry pick.

Villa have 5 wins in their last 13 league games. Spurs have 6 wins (and more cleansheets too)

We've got a better defence. Better attack. And when we beat them Sunday we'll be 2 points behind them before they have to travel to Anfield.
Yeah exactly, absolute waffle stats that do not mention that we splattered Emery’s Villa 4-0 last time we played them.

I actually think Dragusin playing instead of VDV might be to our advantage. I think we may sit a little deeper depriving Watkins of space and have an aerial beast that can hopefully stop them at set pieces.

We have a striker, he just gets zero service cause you know...If Dom (who's been at the club about 8 mins btw) had had plenty chances and he was stuck on 2 or 3 goals, then yeah. But poor lad hasn't even had scraps to feed on.

Beast mode DM is a must...has been for ages.

CB - as a whole, it's a tad underwhelming if I'm honest. That area needs to be given some serious thoughts by the powers that be. Like with the 6, such a key position seen how we play under the big fella. Romero - VdV - Radu - Ben isn't a good enough pack.

You can add to the shopping list a backup goalie (one that can really push Vic), better FB x 2 (enjoy the bench Udo), better wingers x 2 and a proper backup CF (ta da Richy).

Kane had zero service so we are told and is our leading ever goalscorer. Now it's Solanke.

We create our own realities

I think we lack firepower, and Johnson now on the other side of a run. No personal issue with Solanke, but you sense his struggles now he is at a big club.

And we know we will concede. That bit I'd easy to predict

If we drew games I would say that is likely but we don't.

I will be pleasantly surprised if we win.

Pal, you don't score 200 odd goals like Kane if you don't get service. I mean come on.

Have prime Sonny and Eriksen behind Solanke + D-Rose & Walker at FB, the ol' Poch in the dugout, see how he does. Unfortunately for him, he's got the likes of Udo, Porro, Werner or Johnson as teammates...and a coach who doesn't seem to realise there's many ways to score goals or that spending 65 big ones on a proven goalscorer to then use him as a defensive CF is dumb.

Who the fuck calls him 'Big Ben??
:ange-hmm: :sonhmm: :kanehand: :adestare:
...I thought it was Gentle Ben?!

Beat these tomorrow and in spite of all the screaming on here about “poor form, shit manager, worst performance I’ve ever seen”…we are 2 points behind the title contenders from Woolwich.
