Even our manager confirms that - so nothing interesting really just basic economies of scale
Our manager says we have to find players from lower leagues and the academy.

He said we can't spend as much as some clubs. Nothing about not being able to compete on the pitch.
How can you claim that when there are quotes in this debate where Poch clearly states we are going for the PL and CL.

The comment was in relation to signing 60m players on massive pages

Ok I'll set a very simple scene:

We have an FA Cup quarter final against Liverpool on the Saturday.
On the Wednesday we have the second leg of the CL quarter at home against Bayern Munich. We have drawn the first leg 0-0 away.

The following Sunday we have Watford away in the PL, and we sit 4pts off top with 8 games left.

The squad is EXACTLY as it is today, injury wise.

What game would you play your weakest and strongest team?

For me Id go all out in the CL and again in the PL, and Id rest as many players as I could against Liverpool.
If anyone would go full strength in the FA Cup that week, they need their head checked out.

Can you answer the above scenario, you seem to have missed it

We can win the PL with this team on our current wage cap. We have come close and and get there without paying those wages.

We can keep players by being title winners and having the best manger in the world.
We're highly unlikely to win the league this season (again) - our team is not as good as Man City and probably on par with Utd and Chelsea. So unless 1-2 world class players with money we don't have - how do you see that happening?

That's extremely selective btw - obviously the manager will go all out in the CL

My gripe is actually how you and a few other seem to think the FA Cup is beneath us and not good enough for the Mighty Tottenham when in actual fact we've won 2 Carabous in 30 years - this is the point you keep missing and instead now suggesting I don't want us to win the league.

We don't need those players, we have an academy churning out 200M strikers and midfielders that will be the anchor of England's World Cup at the age of 21.

We have a 3M right back worth 50M
We have players like Dier and Dele combined 8M now worth 170M between them.

That's what we do.
Other than Kane (5 years ago) - our Academy hasn't produced any 200m strikers lately. I love your optimism but that's highly unlikely to happen

I disagree that we can't win the PL and I disagree we need 1-2 world class players.

I think we have a great squad, and stand by my stance the entire summer.
This is a wembley season. It's no demand to win the PL. the fact we're doing so well this early is testament to the team and manager.

So you just put the CL above the FA then slate others for doing the same for two days.

Nobody is saying our squad isn't great

Yeah I read it. You put the CL as priority.

You say it's selective, well I can't think of another scenario where I'd prioritize the FA Cup
Let me paste it again - just to be crystal clear:

Nobody is saying it’s beneath us. The thread title is priorities.
