We need another creative midfielder that's what we fucking need. We rely too much on Eriksen to find a through pass, the rest of them move the ball around from one side to another hoping for the best, when Eriksen's out of form we're shit.

People still view Davies as not being able to get forward, which just isn’t true. Yes he’s not as quick as Rose but he’s been great this season. He’s got the same amount of assists as Walker at City.

KWP has impressed me more. If I were Poch I'd start KWP in all the remaining gamesPre-season isn't gonna make Aurier a great full-back. Let's not pretend he's gonna be Walker type of player. He has been here whole season, and Tripper played better to be fair.
It seems like PSG knew what they were doing.
We tend to gloss over all the brain lapses now he´s gone....8 years, two good seasons
Lloris being asked to sweep up us destroyed him, and it’s the managers fault.
On the left? Nah.
8 years.
2 of which were spent out on loan and 1 year out injured (Pochs first season)
1 PFA Young Player of the Year
2 PFA TOTY
3 good seasons
As opposed to Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies who have both been here 3 years and could only establish themselves as starters when either injuries occurred or we got rid of the superior players in their position.
It was still five years of crap though..
.and whats wrong with being quality back up?
Davies has been part of two of our best ever unbeaten runs since the PL began, and I will ask again, why did nobody want new full backs in January?
What has changed from that window to now?
Try to remember we were unbeaten in the league from that window right up until 9 days ago. Three and a half months.
Did you wamnt new full backs after we beat Woolwich, Utd and Chelsea? Or drew at Anfield and in Turin?
Whats changed? Losing to City and Utd, games in which the attack, and the keepers were the bigger problem.
5 years of crap? Your maths is mistaking you. Its 2 years and those were under AVB and Sherwood.
Because new full backs mid way through the season was unlikely to happen. I'd much have preferred Rose to get back to his old self and Aurier performing at a reasonable level.
I'd want new full backs regardless of results. We have a good team. The team is the reason we beat those teams. Not specifically our full backs.
I'll support Davies and Trippier because they're Spurs. They are categorically our worst players in our starting eleven and I'd want to improve our first eleven so that we can continue to compete.
Losing to City and United is nothing to do with it. Losing them games were because we have a manager who struggles in game management or highlighting opponents weaknesses. He'll learn.
But that’s not how it works.
We upgrade on them and then what....suddenly Wanyama is the “worst player”.....sell. Upgrade.
Who’s next? Out with Lamela....now who’s worse than Lamela, let’s upgrade on Dier..
Someone is always going to be worse or less fancy than someone else. It’s not musical chairs, it’s about team harmony.
Once more, THIRD LEAST conceded goals on England.
That doesn’t happen if your full backs “aren’t good enough”.
I’m still waiting for people to stop ignoring that fact, and give me a reason as to how they think that’s possible, with Toby missing 75% of the season, and Lloris making almost two fuck ups a month.
You don’t finish second or even 4th with two crap players in your defence.
We upgrade on them because they're the weakest part of our team.
Who called them crap? A defence is alot more than four players sitting at the back. Hence why Burnley have conceded just 1 more goal than us, with Lowton, Mee, Tarkowski and Ward making up that back four.
In fact, our defensive record this year is likely to end up the worst its been since 2014/2015. So I don't know if we could use our defensive record as a defence for our full backs.
Priority number one is proper back up for Kane.
If anyone cant see that after the last three games, I cant help you. We do better when Kane is injured, than when hes in the side in this form.
The full backs are easy targets, I find it a little bit naive to keep blaming them. Lloris has caused more goals than Trippier and Davies. Aurier needs to grow up I fully agree, but we´d be no better off with Walker this season than we´ve been with Tripper.
Why? Because our biggest problems in games have been a failure to create in the final third and/or wasting chances to kill games. Thats on the AMs and strikers.
We´ve shipped less goals than Chelsea and Liverpool and only 6 less than City.
People accusing the full backs of not getting forward should also consider the fact we have been playing a back 4 since November, not a back 3, where they become wing backs.
They are more defence orientated this season and by and large doing a really good job.
Open your eyes
I find it insane that in January it was all "tricky winger" talk, Malcom, Zaha, Moura etc
We sign Moura, dont use him, the same problems remain, but instead of people saying "play Moura!!", they now want Trippier and Davies sold.
Why wasnt the full backs priority in January?
Well you are saying our defense record isnt good, at the same time you say defending goes way beyond the backline.
So are you blaming the full backs or not? We defend from the front or middle, and as I said in an earlier post, we keep losing the middle of the pitch, so why are Tripper and Davies being called the weakest links and Dier and Dembele given a free pass to go walk abouts, leaving them exposed
They generally receive the ball in a good position wide and should whip it in the box for Harry to get decent service
