Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Everyone seems to forget that we finished fourth, by a fucking whisker, when City were not securely financially doped.
We also finished 4th when Chavs decided not to play so they could get rid of AVB, but they made sure they played in CL.
Liverpool also took a uncharacteristic dip.
Last year Man U had a very bad season, and Liverpool excelled.

Look at the teams of Man U- who will now buy Depay - Chavs, City and Woolwich and tell me why we should finish in 4th, despite teams that could be considered on our level, i.e., Liverpool & Everton challenging for it?

If we were truly a financial giant we would have bought big and paid big - for that is what the 'best' cost - when we did get into the CL, to secure that spot and push on. We couldn't. Unless we raised ticket prices to an unacceptable amount.
If we did get there this season I doubt we would still attract the players or have the money to pay for them.
We will soon be playing in a 22k capacity.
Get fucking real people. We need to stay there or thereabouts and be an attractive option until we get the stadium. The, if many of the cunts who think we have a divine right to finish 4th, bother to fill it we may be in a position to challenge those teams above.
FFS, if Liverpool..who historically have won much more than us and have a much bigger fanbase, are also not shoe ins for CL, why should we be?

The people who thought that 5th was better than 4th because more points = better season.

Could you explain how (by your own outlook) you think we have progressed on last season seeing as we cannot possibly beat our points tally.

And what you think of the 13 point capitulation swing against Woolwich?
Why does it matter so much how Woolwich have done? If they finish on 90 points and us 80, does that mean we're shit because we finished 10 points behind?

Or if they finish on 10 points and us 20, does that make us brilliant?

I don't wish to be sucked into this web of arguments, and I take your point and agree on a number of things, but our form has nothing to do with them, nor theirs to us. We should be more concerned about ourselves than a club that has consistently outperformed us for almost two decades now.

It'd be like moaning that Chelsea have won the league and we should be up there.

If we beat Newcastle, Villa, Stoke, Burnley, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man U, Man City and Woolwich away we'd be in a much better position. #insight

We've hit a ceiling and have plateaued, the teams above us have more financial clout in terms of both transfer fees and wages. So we are in the weird position where the only progress we can make is not get any worse...

Issues STILL not addressed by those I posed it to:

13pt capitulation
Worse points tally

Lets talk about Sammy instead, and quote him 70 times..... because its better without him here
Where is this 13 point capitulation ? We were 1 point ahead of the gooners. Our form has been pretty consistent throughout the season. I get that you're drawing parallels with redknapps season, but its not the same at all. Redknapp capitulated at the end of the season. Our first half of the season form was brilliant, and then we nose dived in the second.

Worse points tally yet same position? Maybe the points are just more spread out through the league .

If you're being quoted 70 times, maybe its because you've posted 70 times?

Can you show me about where I said we have made no progress seeing as you want to talk about being taken seriously......

Its almost as if you are allowed to make things up about me, but my views should be repeated word for word 9 months on..LOL

Hello?

Heeeeeelllllooooooo!

:kaneear:

Frantically searching Sammy posts......

:walkercry:

Ksaw92 has gone for lunch.....dont hold your breath people
Sammy, I really enjoy your posts usually... Especially when I disagree with you. You often make me consider things I haven't thought about. But I think you should take a little break. You posted these quotes within 4 minutes. You are coming across as unhinged. (I'm honestly not trying to be a smart ass.)

Money bags City and Chavs have changed the game, they bought themselves success then FFP pulled up the ladder behind them so it can't be reapeated. Now we have a situation where by the top 4 have to make serious errors and decline before anyone else can get a spot at the table unless a team below does amazing.

Can we change the question to:
"Who's enjoying being a tottenham fan more this season than last season"

Kane aside I think we've had a shitty season. Two games doth not make a season. Even our milk cup final always seemed an inevitable result. To me at least. I think this is going to be a really difficult period for us. Poch is not a Tottenham style manager. The whole 451 ethos is utterly banal. Especially at home.

Maybe it will change if he brings in players suited to his 'philosophy' but I still foresee turgid possession based football. Don't get me wrong. I want to keep him. It's pointless to start again but I'm not particuarly looking forward to next season atm.

But still, you must have enjoyed this season more?

Last season well lost to west ham and Woolwich a combined total of 6 times! SIX!
Last season we had a manager that embarrassed us whenever someone pointed a camera at him.
We got embarrassed at home to Benfica. Kyle walker started right wing. At one point Sherwood sat up in the stands, voluntarily. The whole season started off with us selling Bale which clearly Pissed off AVB and most of the players. It was an utter shambles.

The cup final was always an outside chance yes, but we got to a cup final!

He was quick enough to reply and make shit up about what I said though eh?

I take your point. A cup final is a cup final but despite all the shocking losses and hammerings I had more hope. I've never felt that this season. I'm not a Poch hater but he does annoy me. He's so conservative he makes David Mellor look like Ken Livingstone.

I've only been to 3 games this season, that is an all time low for me since I was 5. And one of them was against Palace. I can honestly say it was the worst game I've ever seen at the lane. I was embarrassed as it was the first game my missus attended at WHL.she was just bemused that I could support something so boring. I tried to explain but it was pointless. We were utterly bereft of anything.

That game encapsulated the season for me. Running around doing nothing.

Kane aside this has been one of the worst seasons I can remember. And I was a season ticket holder when Gros was in charge.

This season is better than last for one reason - that victory over Chelsea was one of the best games i've see from Spurs in ages

Last season was amusing in a very cynical way.

When you say worst we have had alot of positives, some really good performances, the emergence of some talented youth players, a cup final. Are you not judging it on the success of our rivals such as Arse and Chavs. Imagine if Arse, Chavs and West Ham finished 18,19,20th how would you view the season then?

i'd never need porn again in my life, that final league table would be enough to last a lifetime

It's more the manner of our play. I've long given up comparing us to the scum. That ship sailed away a long time ago. Thanks ENIC and Teflon Dan. Aside from Kane my only pleasure apart from those two games(c) was the jettisoning of BAE and the humiliation of the whore.

Maybe I'm being too bitter but the football I've seen this season is unbecoming of a Spurs team. I could accept it if we were seriously challenging but we are further away than anytime since Jol took over.

Pochs treatment of the EL annoyed me and when you look how easily we could have taken Florence apart and where they are in the comp now. It grates.

Poch needs to learn to communicate in English better. I've just heard a clip of him on the radio where he was comparing Messi and Maradonna and he definitely seems to be improving but it should have been his main focus apart from the team.

I haven't given up on him. I want him to be around when/if the new stadium is built. Then perhaps we can start a legacy. But I'm not enamoured with his first season. His fitness tactics worked well till Jan but since then we have looked very leggy.

Shockingly we amased more points last year and are on course to concede more goals now
Honestly , i dont care ... i really dont care anymore. I still hate to see us lose but this season i wanted to focus on loving the game and the things in the game that made me fall for it when i was a wee lad. The Hurrikane, Bentaleb, them two brilliant Chadli goals and that game against Chelsea did just that
