Vardy will use every trick in the book to post a game winner on us

Sick Episode 11 GIF by The Bachelor

Dr Tottenham is seeing Vardy next on the appointment list.

We aren’t in a relegation battle ; only because Wolves / Ipswich / Leicester will fill the two remaining spaces . However bad we may be ; they , barring something totally unforeseen, are very much worse off.

Obviously, it’s a F-ing scandal that we should e even be having this conversation. To think finishing 15th or 16th could be seen as any sort of
« achievement « .

But , as the old saying goes it seems to be « Who we are Mate « ; right now at least.

Shambolic state of affairs in my opinion.
I think people & the media say stuff like that to make it sound more interesting. Read some about forest winning the title! Man Utd getting relegated etc . We will easily stay up but it will be a shit season obviously.

Those that think we are not in a batte to stay up need to look at our strike force for the next few months
Son, Kulu, Richy, how many goals in there ?

I think what annoyed me yesterday is that Ange plays one way and with VdV you can normally get away with it because he's so fast but expecting Davies to play the same way is plain stupid.
He cannot adapt properly.
But yesterday the manager changed the system WHY?
I can understand changing if you have a weeks training or you have the missing players available (eg Biss ,Bent, Johnson) but to do it yesterday when we were short handed and no real training was total madness from the manager
many expected it to be the same 433 with Gray Sarr & Breg in midfield

Looking at the fixtures it is actually incredibly important that we beat Leicester, way moreso than any cup games we've got. After Leicester we face Brentford (A), United (H), Ipswich (A). Realistically with how the teams been performing under Ange this last year, and especially recently, we are looking at maybe 2 points from those 3 games? Even more worrying is the following 4 games: City (H), Bournemouth (H), Fulham (A), Chelsea (A). That's a 4 game losing streak, even with VDV and Romero back. That could take us into April without a win if we don't beat Leicester.

He won’t beat Leicester. We won’t win again with him at the helm. We’ve all watched football long enough to know when a manager is done.

Calvert lewin scored for the first time in 16 games. Everyone joked it would happen in the week. If we all knew then so did the players. They’ve given up.

Even I think we will beat Leicester. They're awful. They had their little bounce and they've slammed into a brick wall again.

It'll probably burst the relegation bubble too and save his job. It shouldn't but it probably will.

If we do lose to Leicester we're gonna be in a world of pain because it'll be the first time I've gone from thinking relegation is a distant worry which needs to be monitored to thinking it's very real.

Not much chance we get relegated, Ipswich and Leicester are poor and we have Romero and VDV back soon. Still an embarassing situation, Ange has not managed this squad well.

For a bit of context.

The last time Leicester went down, after 22 games they had exactly the same record as us. 24 points. Although 14th in the league. And a negative GD. Our GD is worth a point as we are far above the bottom 3. Ipswich are minus 23.

And Leicester were 6 points off the relegation zone. We are 8. So we have a bigger cushion.

After 30 games they had managed to get 1 more point!! 1 point 8 games!!

If after 30 games we have 25 points then I can guarantee you this - Ange Postecoglou does not have a job.

In the meantime. Keep calm and smoke em if you got em!!

I just can’t see it. I think the players have become disillusioned now and if we go behind then they won’t have it in them to turn it around. Leicester won’t keep losing and will pick up a win at some point. We are prime candidates for it to be us.

I'm increasingly of the view you're right tbh

I don't think we'll beat Leicester either.

I note how no-one on TFC is now poo-pooing the idea that we are in a relegation battle ...

But same applies to us. We haven't won at home since November. If that applies to them and they're awful then same must apply to us.

And yes, the only thing I'm left relying on right now is statistically we're surely due a home win because I'm not basing it on what performances say we deserve.

:pochcry:

Who am I kidding. Harry Winks hat trick incoming.

I think the poster who made the point that newcastle and Villa have both been down really should hit home. They aren’t dissimilar to us and had as bad owners at the time they were relegated.
It's the Villa one which should be really scary because they took ages to come back. People act like it couldn't happen. Then that it could but we'll have a great time and just bounce back up. Then... League One looks fun doesn't it?
