If West Ham beat Brentford we are down. I can’t see us getting more than 6 points and even that is a tall ask with our injuries . West ham will beat Leeds on the final day and Newcastle cant buy a win .
It's not looking good and like you, I believe this weekend is pivotal to our survival (and I know that gets said nearly every weekend). We desperately need Brentford to be on it and wanting to qualify for Europe. Teams like Brentford don't really want the Thursday/Sunday slog. 10th is their ceiling ambition wise. Hopefully, they want it and turn up but get the feeling West Ham will find a way of getting something. Our game with Villa is a tricky one to weigh up. Villa have their Europa semi either side of this fixture and are 8 points clear in the final CL spot for next season. They could in theory go all in to try and beat us and make that final spot mathematically safe. Or they could rotate and look at Burnley away as the opportunity to secure CL football. Their final two games are Liverpool and Man City so I am guessing they will play a pretty strong side against us and ultimately that will be enough for them to win comfortably. In that scenario, our game against Leeds the following weekend is the one we must win because we know West Ham play Woolwich that weekend and hopefully this will be our moment to jump them on GD. We then have to hope Newcastle put on a performance in front of the Geordie faithful for their final home game of the season. If they can find a performance from somewhere, the Chav game becomes irrelevant. We just need to match West Ham's result on the final day to survive, and in that scenario I am offering to buy a player Everton are about to release for 50m. But seriously, it all starts Saturday. Even though I think Villa will turn us over, we need Brentford to hopefully win, but not lose.

Need to beat Villa Everton and one of Chelsea or Everton to have a chance

Aside from big doping scandals a la Lance Armstrong/Russia in the Olympics, major financial fuckups (Rangers, Leeds, Parma...), cheating convictions like Juve or Marseille, or one-off events like Brazil getting hammered 7-1 by Germany on their own soil...

Spurs - the 9th richest club in the world & 6th highest PL payroll - going down to the Champo has gotta be the ultimate biggest humiliation in sports history.

We must not let ENIC get away with it. No friggin way.
Add in the refs making it happen for a crossover between your first and second paragraphs.

Getting bored of these posts.
If they beat Brentford and we beat Villa it's same time next week. And next week they have Woolwich away and we have Leeds at home. We could just get out after that match.

We're relegated when we can't get more points than we need.

All we can do now is try to win every game, however possible. If the performance is dog shit, fine. I'll take the worst of anyones football, as long as it was winning. 4 x the Europa league win performance will do me. In off a defender with no shots on target.

It’s a coin flip.

Safety is there if the players will do it. There’s no one to depend on returning. No one is coming to help. The men who are currently available have it all in their hands.

And despite what we have seen this year, they ought to be better than the dross lining up for the Spam. At the very least so that if we go down, everyone recognizes that they were not the reason.

Whether they do it or do not, the names of the men on the lineup cards for the next few games will be written on our history. The die is cast and there’s no more to say for them.
