How do you know how tight a ducks arse is?
I'm not predicting it.. But it's the first time that I've thought there's a chance. Even if it's very small.
This dream of all of our players coming back isn't going to happen. Take VDV for example. He won't be eased back in with 10 minutes here, 20 there. We don't have the depth for that luxury. He'll be thrown straight in and have to make 3/4 50 yard sprints a half when not up to match fitness. He can easily break down again after a game or two back. We are going to have a broken squad until the summer.
That will not be remedied in this window.
And when you're really down there. There's no room for idealists or purists. You have to be willing to dig in and take a win or a point however you get it..
I don't think we'll go down.... But. We'd better pray that we're not down there in the last stretch from late March until May. Because, with the pressure of a real relegation battle, a lot of this squad will go under mentally, in a way that Everton, Wolves and the like won't.

I'm trying not to get personal here but how can you put a bet on us to be relegated and call yourself a Tottenham fan? You're not only betting on us to lose a match but many matches - to the point where every time we play in the league, it's in your interest for the team to lose.
I don't gamble on football at all because it corrupts the mind. If you bet on the team to win 2-1 and they win 3-1, your mind is not going to be where it should be. If football has a cancer, it's gambling.
The only bet I've ever considered was Michael Owen to play in 6 World Cups as he was one of the few people to have played in 3 by the age of 26 which meant it was possible for him to appear in a 6th WC at the age of 38. Alas, injuries and loss of form made sure it didn't happen.
