That's the problem "much worse level opposition" have fight in them, we have pussies.

Playing home is our issue.

True! We'd have Ying and Yang signed from Harbin Wildebeasts, aged 9 and 13 respectively.
We actually HAVE signed Yang though!

Agree but think we need to dig out a couple of scrappy results because I’m not expecting the bounce to go our way until we shake off the negative energy.

Maybe that happens at Fulham, maybe vs Palace in front of a raucous stadium. I’m sure it will happen though. Tudor will be hammering confidence and belief into them, something has to give.
Our only hope of beating Palace is if Frank has taken over by then....
Mind you, Sky would bill it as "Frank's revenge" over evil Spurs if that scenario did transpire!

Maintaining the 4-point difference between us and West Ham after the next 3 games is the ask, as I keep saying.

If we don't win, so be it, but in 3 games time, the gap can not reduce, and certainly not to 2 points.

We must stay 2 positive results ahead, one needing to be a win from West Ham.

The pressure is more on them than us, irrespective of whether they are playing better at the moment. That won't last if we keep clear.

That's why you saw Santo go for it on Saturday.

I'll get called out for this, but if we go down, I'm probably finished with Spurs and football. When I weigh up how much happiness and entertainment they have given me in my 40 years as a fan, against how much misery and disappointment, going down is my chance to disentangle my life from this hamster's wheel. I'll probably cancel my TV subs (Sky and TNT) and will have little or no interest if we aren't in the Prem. It's all I've known i.e. top-flight football, and we are only where we are because of mis-management and greed.

Sorry if that makes me sound entitled, given how many teams go up and down over the years, and the fans stick with them - but I see Spurs as a business interest of rich people who have no interest in the football. They aren't working for my support any more, only their shareholder value.

We go down, I go out and, at 50+, get a new interest. Will just watch England games and be done with it.
Understandable, brother.

Exactly

Optimism is a skill that can be consciously used for your own benefit.

We’ve done the self pity and doom mongering that yesterday deserved. Now move on and be stubbornly optimistic every game til the end of the season

I feel the same but the law of averages says we will win a few. It's just difficult to know which games will be the ones Spurs win.

My biggest concern is that if we are within touching distance of going down, by the last few games, other clubs may deliberately let the likes of Spam, Forest and Leeds win games they wouldn't have won earlier in the season.

We are right in the shit tbh.

This team does not win back to back games.

I think we are poor enough to actually go down.
We really need a win or two before April because we all know what you say is spot on. Any club that is pretty much locked into a position in the table will throw their game against our relegation rivals.

Leeds have to play
City (H)
Sunderland (H)
Palace (A)
Brentford (H)
United (A)
Wolves (H)
Bournemouth (A)
Burnley (H)
Spurs (A)
Brighton (A)
WHU (A)

We could feasibly be above Leeds next weekend.

A lot of teams in and around us are playing each other in the run in.

Forest also interesting.
Brighton (A)
City (A)
Fulham (H)
Spurs (A)

By the time we play them, they could be well behind.
Leeds play Brighton at home, not away, meaning 6 home games, 5 away. Their home form (and atmosphere) has been very good, and they have kept picking up away points since the start of December (Liverpool, Brentford, Sunderland, Chelsea, Villa) Only lost 2 of the last 14, by the odd goal in 5 at City and the odd goal in 7 at Newcastle, both times they had a right go at the opposition.

Mate, you won't be the only one considering your options if that happens!

I've been questioning my life choices with regards to football for too long now...

Being born in Stoke Newington , a simple turn left rather than right at the junction, and I'd be a happy Gooner this morning!!!
(Perish the thought!)

But when Spurs themselves are piling on as much misery as the Gooners, you know summit ain't right.

I'll always support Tottenham Hotspur... But the club itself, and the money grabbing greedy cunts who run it are vile filth... I wish nothing but sorrow and a pox upon each of their luxury Multi-million pounds houses... and the fucking hotel... which is still making the front of the stadium look like a building site 7 years after opening!

Heres hoping Scrote head Joe is in the Epstein files somewhere.... Looking at the slimy old bastard I imagine he must be the type!! That'll finish him!

But as far as not wanting to feel entitled, don't worry about it... We're the 9th richest club in THE WORLD, let alone just UK...
In fact, we're sandwiched between Woolwich and Chelsea, so let's see if their fans would feel unfairly aggreived at the idea of being relegated..... (I know Chelsea have been there relatively recently in the mid-late '80s, but that was a VERY different Chelsea!!)

We're rightfully annoyed we're in the position we're in, cos in a world where money talks, we HAVE the money, we're not going under or out of business... But if we go down, then ENIC might have to take a massive hit on the THFC part of their Sports & Entertainment portfolio empire!!!!!

It's been GROSS mismanagement on EVERY LEVEL for A QUARTER OF A CENTURY!

ENIC OUT!!!
Joe Lewis and his offspring can all FUCK OFF AND GO HAUNT Someone ELSE!

A bit excessive in my opinion.

I think there has been systemic issues since the Pochettino cycle, where poor decisions have been made, partly to appease Kane, which in hindsight weren't good for the club or Kane

Then more recently, the choice of the previous manager and his entourage simply came when the ask was very different. Again, that is with the benefit of hindsight to some degree but it's also something that became obvious quite quickly.

Why I agree with your sentiment is that in waiting 6 weeks longer than we should have done to dismiss the previous incumbent, it revealed wholesale incompetence.

It's left us in a precarious situation, with no certainty of survival and nothing to suggest that if we do (as we still should) avoid the drop, that time will make a material difference.

I think at this stage. ENIC are praying we stay up, so they can get maximum value for the club.

Whatever happens ENIC won't be tolerated.

Nobody said too big

Nobody said too good.

Opta says 4.2% chance.

I’m agreeing with the new manager, talking about relegation does nothing. There is talent in the squad that had relegation habits coached into them by Frank. Hes gone, now it’s time to hammer the confidence back into them and just try to win every game

Opta also says 82% chance for Woolwich to win the league. I don’t know what calculations go in to it but that seems ludicrously high for lots of reasons.

Relegation habits coached in by Ange too tbf. I don't really blame Ange though. It's the guys who put the managers there and kept them there that are the problem.
