Enough people paying the top price for season tickets, owners realise that it's better to fuck the 'football division' of the business off now and not have to pay top wages for players. Yeah, we're in deep shit. There's no two ways about it. The ones that say we'll be fine, we'll get the points we need are just ignoring the fact that we have been atrocious, as you say, the worst team in the league, bar none, for some time, and are basing this on being a club this size.

We're currently bottom of the league for points taken in the last 12 games.
I do subscribe to the notion that just 1 or 2 wins should (in theory anyway) do us the world of good, and I think if we got 2 wins in the next 4 or 5 games for example we should end up by hook or by brook picking up enough points between now and the end of the season to stay up eventually. The trouble is, in our current form, with a team decimated by injuries, where confidence is absolutely through the floor, with seemingly no grit, balls or determination to get out of this mess (unlike the other clubs around us who know what it takes to get out of these situations), it is just impossible to see where any of those wins come from at the moment. It's very very grim and at the moment it just feels inevitable. Just got to hope those 1 or 2 wins come from somewhere, fast.
