I just want this nightmare season over and I can deal with the outcome. I need to stop getting my hopes up at the slightest chance that we might escape.
The point against Liverpool away, then getting stuffed by Forest.
Holding our own against Sunderland, then one of their players should have been sent off.
Xavi's stunner against Brighton, then a sickner of an equaliser 20 minutes later.
Getting our first win in 2026, but suffering another long-term injury to our only creative player, and WHU getting a last minute winner, when Everton should have got a penalty.
Too much for my heart and blood pressure to take.
Just stop it now.
I hear ya, but stay strong - we can do this

Like I said previously, we seem to have the world on our shoulders with injuries, bad referees, and mental fragility. We also lack any players that can turn a match in our favour when the chips are down. Without Maddison, Xavi or Kulu, we need to grind them out through attrition. And we're not really defensively good enough to do that.

West Ham look like a team in good form, playing without fear, and determined to keep the gap between them and us. I fully expect them to get at least a draw at Brentford to keep the pressure on us.

Lange and Vinai have made a complete pig's ear of this season and should get pelters for it, but it feels like we're swimming against an incredibly strong current right now.
Well see, they gave up a bunch of chances against everton and it was just very poor final passes etc from everton that meant they didnt score.

We are down to bare bones, but we have just keep going for it and playing. Teams that will come at us suit us much better than playing the likes of wolves so lets just go out and there press hard run hard and look to cause them problems. Everything is against us but all we can do is control the controllables.

It can't be the midweek before the Cup Final, as we play on the Monday, Chelsea final on the Saturday, and it probably suits us to be playing after West Ham.

But don't let that destroy your everything is against us MO

I would prefer it to be before but that's not going to happen, so we will lose out in my opinion, because the game before the Cup final means the focus is not us.

So in the week before we face Everton, the filth will have one thing on their minds.

I think it's done. The ground they have made up on us over the last four months, and now they have surpassed us. I think they will just keep gaining ground. All this clutching at straws is not good for your mental health. Every week its too stressful.

If we as expected, have to win back to back home games
We haven’t done that since September/October 2024
I believe we have lost 26 home games in the last three seasons , with two more to play
Totally unacceptable

Leeds hadn't won 2 games in a row all season until recently.
Home or away. They have won one more game than us.
We've been an utter clusterfuck since we gave a pub manager 2 fucking years in the dugout.
2 YEARS.
Frank had no chance of fixing it.
Especially as the players like the pub manager.

Even Rosinior managed 4 B2B wins and 2 draws in his first 6.
A narrow loss. A narrow draw. A narrow win since employed a football coach who coaches players.
We need to forget what has happened and base everything on now. What is going in now, not in Dec 2025 etc.

Draws with Villa and Chelsea and wins against Leeds and Everton would leave West Ham needing 7 points - not a chance they do that imo.

I think the difficulty of West Ham’s next 3 games is being massively underplayed - I genuinely wouldn’t swap with them at this point

I think West Ham's next 3 games could see them gaining no points at all, but I thought they would draw or lose to Everton.

Forest are still within touching distance and it's just going to be a question of doing what we can.

Got to hope Brentford don't pick up injuries tonight and can give full throttle on the weekend.

West Ham aren't that good in my opinion but they have been on an unbelievable run, and Santo just seems to keep making the right decisions and has got his players giving everything all the time.

How many points do you reckon they are getting from:

Brentford away
Woolwich home
Newcastle away

I can’t see them getting more than 2 and I think we can get 4 from our next 3

Brentford is the crucial game I feel.

That lot for very obvious reason and Newcastke because that will nearly definitely be Howe's last game will be exceptionally tough.

But no predictions from me.

Oh it’s definitely possible they lose all 3, but I suspect they will draw with Brentford and lose the other 2 - a single win over Leeds would be enough to have us out of the relegation zone going into the final day.

For Forest to be truly dragged back in I think they will need to lose the next 3 - I expect them to lose away to United and Chelsea - I think they will draw Newcastle at home though. Bournemouth at home final day - you just can’t tell if Bournemouth will turn up or not

They beat us at home in December, since then they have slowly got their shit together while we went backwards.
Its pretty much done now, I can't see the team digging themselves out of this, just way too many defeats has really had an impact.

They are'nt that great man for man, but they are a great team all pulling together.

Their squad is paper thin though, all we can hope for is some injuries to key players. They are a different team without Bowen or Summerville.

There will probably be freak results, there normally is
But will produce a freak result
Will get anything out of villa or Chelsea away , even though they now have Europe or a cup final on their mind
Or is sending us down all the motivation they need

I don't know what will happen but I do think the various possibilities are there, which of course is stating the obvious. The permutations are there.

In this season where next to nothing has gone our way I am going to follow the Brentford/West Ham game expecting something to go against us.

The issue with West Ham is that they don't seem to get injuries , Summervilla apart, and seem to play every game as team and yet I genuinely don't think they are that good. Weird.

I think we've received every conceivable signal from the universe that this is just our time.

Football Gods demand it.

For the sins of Baldcunt/ENIC.

Absolute miracle if we stay up, but, still, it's not over until it's actually over.

Fully making the required mental adjustment to being a championship team tho.

Will lessen the impact of the most likely outcome.

It could be a positive or it could be a negative.
If Brentford win we can go into Villa knowing a draw is a good point. Brentford losing would mean we have to going into the Villa game knowing realistically we have to win.
Our attitude going into the next few games will be dependent on how WH do.
Think I would rather we both played at the same time for the last 4, but that’s not going to happen.
Playing at the same time would never happen due to tv sceduling etc....

But given the choice of playing our next 3 before or after spam, there aint any doubt that playing second is preferable to playing first for the very reasons you outline above.

You just know the flaked out conspiracy theorists on here would be all over it whichever way it fell 😆
