I've made peace that we are getting relegated. Watch city fighting tooth and nail to get their fixtures rearranged for an extra rest day.

Watch us paltheticly accept Chelsea on Thursday night and have a quick turnaround for Everton. That's us done. The club don't care. Beyond incompetent. And that's me done. I've thrown in the towel

Chelsea making the fa cup final should have been our advantage. We should be playing them the Tuesday after their cup final and then have 5 days to prepare for Everton. But we've allowed the Premier league to move us to Thursday. We've turned an advantage into a disadvantage.

What's the point. Nobody at the club cares anywhere near as much as we do. I'd honestly do a way better job running the club myself. How the fuck have they allowed this to happen. I give up. We deserve to be relegated. These owners are absolutely clueless and not at the races at all. Any other club would have made sure we got the Tuesday slot and refused the Thursday. I'm fuming. It's over
If it's any consolation mate, we'd lose on the Tuesday as well 👍

That squad is a monstrosity but i believe we could get rid of 10 of those players and still be around the automatic promotion places without bringing in a single addition. We'll have to add 5 or 6 to balance the squad better and make sure we win it but overall i cant wait to see the back of a lot of those.

Pretty sure Vicario, Dragusin, Romero, VDV, Porro, Sarr, Richarlison and Veliz will be sold. I think most of those would have gone even if we stay up. Even marking prices down thats circa £170m i would have thought. Bissouma, Kolo Muani and Palhinha out of contract. Guess they might extend Davies by a year.

Unknowns are Kudus Gallager, Spence, Bentancur.

I have watched a lot of the championship this season and the quality is shit. Burnley and Wolves would be the best teams down there. They would also be our main rivals for promotion.

On paper we would have 5-10 of the best players in the whole league even with sales. We would be peak Pep City on paper but it only works if we have a good manager like De Zerbi and we don’t have half the squad injured.

It is really poor quality, Southampton if they dont come up and as you say Burnley and Wolves would be the better sides. I think West Ham would come straight back up and they dont have the squad and youngsters we do. Only thing that concerns me is our decision making. If they're sensible, buy some good champo players, a couple of experienced ones in there at keeper and centre back then we'll be fine but i can easily see a scenario where we keep some bad eggs and accept a good offer for say Bergvall.

Not sure where all the confidence about walking the championship is coming from. We’ve been dogshit for more than two seasons. Our squad on paper looks better than many teams but has proven to be weak and low on technical ability. Our best players are all injured or likely to be sold. Our talented youngsters are still miles of any consistency. If the champ is low on quality then we’re going to fit in well. It’s not low on determination and physicality though and we’ve hot little fight as this season has shown.
Southampton scraped into the playoffs quite late despite looking pretty decent in the cup - I wouldn’t be confident in us beating them. Look how we’ve coped against championship or lower opposition in the last few years. Add in the inevitable boost that playing us-cocky-big-rich-club-from-the-premier-league will give to every opponent, it will be far from easy.

I think 3 or 4 reasons .

Our enormous resources.

A manager, and hopefully a nucleus of our current players who will be hell bent on an instant return.

A tendency to think more of ourselves than the evidence.

And below

From next summer, more clubs will have the opportunity of being promoted to the top flight of English football.

As is the case now, the two Championship clubs that finish the season in the top two spots, will automatically be promoted to the Premier League.

However, the new format will affect clubs who finish third to eighth, and will work like this:

The Championship teams that finish in third and fourth place will go straight into the play-off semi-finals.

A one-legged quarter final will be played with fifth at home to eighth and sixth hosting seventh.

The play-off semi-finals will still be played over two legs, and the final will still be held at London's Wembley Stadium at the end of May.

If Millwall can almost get in the top two I think we should be ok.

If we do, go down, the scope for instant return could not have been made more easy in many respects It's as though the PL were saying but we need them (us) straight back, so....

If ENIC failed to provide what would be objectively considered as the strongest platform for an immediate return I think there would be riots on the streets of Tottenham.

If it's any consolation mate, we'd lose on the Tuesday as well 👍
Probably. If its any consolation we deserve to lose most games we lost. If its any consolation we might still be shit even if we didn't have any injuries. If its any consolation, all the referee errors usually balance out. If its any consolation nothing matters and we deserve to be relegated. Nice one mate. We'll just stop fighting for every inch and accept relegation so.

Sums up the attitude of the whole club. We've been giving away inches all year and nobody cares. Just a club that has accepted defeat. And moving the Chelsea game to Thursday has a huge knock on effect on our preparations for Everton on Sunday. How many PL games did we win last year after a Thursday night Europa League game? Exactly. This has totally screwed us but nice one mate, any consolation mate and we'd be relegated anyway. Brilliant attitude

We can moan as much as we like and talk about luck but you make your own luck and we’ve been dog shit for 95% of the season and deserve to go down . The lack of effort on and off the pitch has put us in this position . Just 1 more win in the last 15 games wouid see us out the relegation zone and we couldn’t even muster that .
Isn't that glossing over the fact we HAVE been treated abysmally by the authorises and reffed differently by PGMOL ...?

Yes, we ARE culpable of gross mismanagement from within, but BOTH can be true...
We haven't helped ourselves, but have had absolutely no help from ANYWHERE all season!

We've been neglected and faiied on both sides ...

It's like blaming a girl who likes sleeping around for getting sexually assaulted... On one hand, you could argue she's not helping herself... but then again, assaulting someone is NEVER acceptable! She doesn't DESERVE to get assaulted...

Ok, that's a dramatic comparison, but you get my meaning...
We're not helping our own situation, but it also feels that we're not participating in a fair contest on a level playing field!

You're right.

You're clearly at the anger/bargaining stage still, whereas I've hit acceptance.

I think the factors working against us are quite astonishing. Some self-induced but the catalogue of injuries, decisions etc. Just astonishing.

I'm with you on the game change to Thursday. It is absolutely crazy to have agreed to that.

I'm sure the police would have had some say in it but 3 days before we face Everton. Just why make it advantageous to the filth and our relegation rivals?

The club really are depressing in what it agrees to and stays silent on.

The s ope of the changes that are needed at the club are growing day by day.

Don't bother working it out we're done mate.
Cursed as a football club and unfortunately nothing will change? Name one player that hasn't missed games through injury the last two seasons?
Harry Kane?? :kanehand:
As much as I think it's bent/bias refs....
Villa haven't had one yet.
Burnley, Forest and Everton have only had 2 each.
Even refs faves Arse have "only" had 4.
Way out in front? Brentford with 9. 2 more than the next teams.

Villa next will be interesting as to whether any penalties are given and why.
The Pens are the least of our worries...
Yes, you have to be IN THE BOX to warn a pen, which we never WERE from August til April... Or thereabouts!

But I agree it's the niggly little stoppages and yellows/reds we're getting that other clubs just haven't, that is killing us!

It doesn't help when all Dermot fucking Gallagher have to do on a Monday morning is agree with the wrong decision at the weekend, and everything is forgotten!

Much as they are hated, if ANY of the big red teams get such unfair decisions, their hierarchy are ALL OVER IT complaining, and making sure it's highlighted again and again until it stops happening....
We just let it happen.

We'll piss the league let's be real. The quality is shocking. We'll lose 10 players max this summer and will still be able to walk through teams
It depends on which squad of players we have available. Could we piss the league with the current squad (and injury issues)? I doubt it.

I trust the manager, though. And with the right group of players, we could (and should) do well.

But this is THFC. And we know how that often ends.

Is that surprising really? We are hardly ever in the opposing penalty area.
This year yes. Under Postecoglou we were one of the teams with the highest touches inside the opposition penalty area. In fact those two years under Postecoglou Tottenham had more touches inside the box than any Spurs team in recent memory.

Not many pens though...
