Spam had only won 3 of their first 21 games this season.
They're now 6 from 12.
Forest went on a run of 2 from 14 but since won 3 from 4.
Leeds also 2 from 14 before 2 from their last 3.
IMO, our run was exasperated by a dreadful choice in Tudor. Had we abandoned Poch in the summer there and then and went for a proper, full time appointment, we'd have started the turn around in that 6 game period.
Instead we got 1 point and fucked ourselves in the face.
Our performances have improved and we look more cohesive. Our next game is against a hopefully preoccupied Villa. Win that and things suddenly start looking quite positive.

Agreed. Tudor was an horrendous appointment. We should have got a known entity (if RDZ wasn't available) who could have got us a bounce.
The managerial appointments (keeping Frank too long, appointing Tudor), and the failure to resolve the injury situation are what will send us down, if we do go down. Very costly mistakes. No team can do well with 7-8 first team players always injured. The club should have moved heaven and earth to resolve that.

Selling Johnson was incredibly inept. They will all be fired at the end of the season, though should have been fired already. They should have brought in some consultants short term to understand and report on the problems. And then some football and business brains longer term.
I'm less confident about us staying up with Xavi out I have to say. Huge blow. Think on balance we will go down, though if we beat Villa, I'd swing that round to on balance we stay up.
They Play Brighton which I think they lose, then its Forest and West ham so they are very much involved in this , still knowing the way this season is going they will pick up 3 against Brighton, get mathematically safe and then lose against West ham and Forest!Why are people talking about Newcastle

I wouldn't say it was a huge blow.
He's had half a dozen moments this season at best.
We just need to do what we already needed to do, come up with a way to make opportunities.
Fans are all hung up on having a wizard pass the ball 30 yards to open defences. But it can be as simplistic as forcing defenders to make mistakes. Having as many shots as humanly possible and picking up the rebounds etc.
It doesn't need to be champagne, it could just as easily be Tennants Super football.

You are forgetting that pesky “normalizing losing” thing that only happens to us. Doesn’t happen to West Ham, Forest or Leeds. Or any other football club ever. Just us. We’re never winning another match.
I think we are done. We need to win and to do that we need to score. I just don't see who the creativity to score is going to come from now. Xavi's injury was the final straw.

IMHO to avoid relegation we need to place a lot on the shoulders of Palhinha and Bentancur as our double pivots in defensive midfield. These 2 are vital for us in the next few games .
