Player Richarlison

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I’m relaxed for this season tbh. Hopefully he can be utilised an effective impact sub which (once he gets fit) might enable him to stay fit.

There was no way, having signed Solanke, we were going big on another striker this summer so having him is overall to our benefit despite frustrations around his availability.

Would be shocked to see him still here in 25/26 but by then we’ll have a clearer idea of the level of Solanke plus Veliz and Lankshear will be a year older so a chance one of them has taken the leap to be a real option. Alternatively if we can shift Richie then we replace him with a Gykores type

One of the worst signings we have ever made when you consider the price.
Horrendous business and never rated him despite liking the guy.

Will be gone next summer hopefully.

Ange’s comments have pretty much said he’s done with him. I said weeks ago that he won’t start another league game for us and with the way Ange has spoke about him today I think that will be the case.
He’s been horrendous for us and we still have some that think he’ll come good. In 22 months of football he’s performed at a level we should expect of £60 million player for about 9 games in that spell last season. His form has been of a lower league player outwith that when he’s been fit and has had far too many mystery injuries. He’ll never be mistaken for a ray of sunshine either!!
We should have made it hard for him to stay in the summer because he’s close to worthless now.

I've no doubt that a fully fit and in form Richarlison is one of the best strikers in the league.

well I mean he definitely hasn't been "horrendous" when he's fit.
Problem is he's rarely fit.

If he’s some way off then it’s a fairly significant injury, which usually becomes public. As there is zero information out there on this injury, reasonable to assume something else is up with player / club relationship? Another classic Tottenham transfer this one. The problem for me is that the fee was too high. £20m buy from Watford. Ok. £60m from Everton, nutty.

Richy could be struggling with mental health issues again. Could be that the injury is a recurring injury and its not good for the player or the club if the world knows atm because his value plummets.

Either way, Richy will be gone as soon as a deal can be done. The good thing is that his profile from that WC when he started for Brazil and scored a bicycle kick mean Saudi or the MLS will always be sniffing around. Massive shame though.

When the club gives zero detail on a long term injury, it’s normally a very serious one. We did the same thing when Wanyama exploded his knee, never actually said what the problem was.

I expect selling him is now a priority so we want to say as little about his failing body as possible.
