Yeah - the reaction to the goal did make me wonder tbh. Like, I'm all for big celebrations and have no issue with him taking his shirt off, but the emotional breakdown at the end was a bit much. He just seems like such an emotionally-led player that you can't really rely on at all. It's a complete lottery as to whether he'll score a bicycle-kick worldie or put in a 2/10 performance (and more often we see the latter).

At this level there has to be some degree of consistency, and Rich's entire game outside of running around and being a general nuisance, feels completely random.

Why are fans always shitting on our own players. Scarlet did a great bit of skill the other night beating a player which I’ve never seen Richi do. Ffs give him some minutes at least. If he is here on the bench then surely good opportunity to see what he can do. We know what Richi ‘can do’ after 3 years. Why are we going down the rinse and repeat route.

It shows sign of not being a serious team . Same v wolves would city , dippers, goons cekebrate like that? They would be embarrassed to have got a last min equaliser v bottom team who lost all 5 previous games. We on the other hand treat it like a cup final victory. The players should have been embarrassed by the whole performance not ground like winning the EC final.

I watched him a lot for Watford and Everton. He is the type of player that gets plaudits for a good bit of play on MOTD, but if you saw the full game you'd think he's shit. A lot of the hype was from a good dribble and piece of skill like overhead kick. He did this playing mainly LW for those clubs. After a string of injuries, which should have been a massive warning sign to our scouts, he lost his pace and dribbling ability that made him a nuisance to play against. He's never looked the same and without pace you need a good intelligent head and technical quality which he has always lacked.

I was gutted we signed him. 1 good game every 10 and that was his career at Everton and Watford too.

And also people need to stop using Brazil's number 9 as a reason for him being any good or signing for us. The metrics should have been based on what technical ability he has, injury history, how well he fits into the coaches plans think it was Conte at the time and also how does he fit with the players we had at the time. None of those reasons should have led to a decision for us to sign him. And if Conte gave the green light then he is a bigger fool than people care to admit.

At the same time I think I mentioned in one of the transfer threads that there was a player called Mateta at Mainz that would be worth getting. Look at him now at palace compared to Richarlison. I watched a lot of bundesliga coming out of covid mainly because it was the first league to restart and both Mateta and Cunha who was at Hertha Berlin at the time were options for us. Instead we are still having to suffer from watching Richarlison.

Conte prbly didn’t give a shit who we shined. Think richi was late on in that transfer window and by then he in melt down mode.

There are dozens of players we could have got for half the price who would offer far more quality. Most champo CFs prbly better than Richi. Delay cost £30M ffs would be more effective. I seriously think lankshear or even Scarlett would do a better job.
