One of my first real Spurs memories as a young lad in Northern Ireland watching the highlights on MOTD (my mum let me stay up late especially) What a wonderful player and of course a World Cup winner RIP Martin.

One of my heroes when I was a child and games in the English first division (as it was called, then) were broadcast on Danish national television (those were the days!). Elegant and effective in equal measure. RIP.

Very sad. Such an intelligent player. It was about the time he joined that I became fixated with Spurs. That attacking line up of Chivers Peters and Gizean was dynamite. Remember the feeling when we went 2-0 up v the West Germans in the 1970 World Cup with both the goals scored by Spurs' Peters and Mullery.
