Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

One of my heroes when I was a child and games in the English first division (as it was called, then) were broadcast on Danish national television (those were the days!). Elegant and effective in equal measure. RIP.
(PS: If you wonder about my age, I am 10 years younger than what is stated on my profile, but I can't change it)

Very sad. Such an intelligent player. It was about the time he joined that I became fixated with Spurs. That attacking line up of Chivers Peters and Gizean was dynamite. Remember the feeling when we went 2-0 up v the West Germans in the 1970 World Cup with both the goals scored by Spurs' Peters and Mullery.

Ramsey described him as a player 10 years ahead of his time. Great at arriving in the box late. Neat goal v Scotland in 1-0 win, arriving late in box, clever header down and across the keeper.

3.15 Chivers header
then Peters goal (Chivers run to the near post)

A player that once was said something like 10 years ahead of his time

RIP Martin and thanks for the memories
