I wonder why they show something in training. Couldn’t be because they are up against a bunch of useless pricks on the other end?
It’s no surprise that we “look great” in training against the same players that every club in Europe bullies while hardly getting out of second gear.

Not keen on RDZ but it's as clear as day the players are the issue here. Not an ounce of professional pride anywhere.
Yet you want 442 which will a) expose the fact we don't have any wingers available and b) effectively leave us a man light in the center against the majority of teams.
The only team we can play without putting players out of position is something like the below with a back 3 and 4 in midfield.

Some of them are probably at the very top end of championship level and one or two above that.
I think the dynamic more-so centers about who of the so-called better players will buy into a year in the champo.....
Those that won't bring the double-whammy of being sold cheap to shift the wages whilst replacements would still need to be bough...... And it's all good people saying "yeh; get some reliably champo compatible players"; but very few such players won't need to be swiftly sold on if we do bounce straight back up and expect to rapidly contest for Europe again.

The one advantage with De Zerbi I don’t think he’d expect absolute tier 1 players like Conte/Jose, thinking he can improve those with a few rough edges that do meet the bulk of his criteria.
