I think Gray and Berg get a pass based on age and they’re actually putting in some effort.

However; i wouldn't expect some wholesale cull in one swoop. Poch for example did so in his 2nd summer (after a full year of assessing his players) and that was far less dramatic numbers than most are anticipating.

I don't think either player is sh!t. Young, and not as good as thought/hoped is possibly more accurate.
The whole squad lack confidence and maybe De Zerbi went for some degree of those who were showing more in training, which seems the only logical conclusion.
Ultimately it's always on the manager and that's right in my opinion.
I don't care who plays as long as they show something worthy of selection. Too often we are seeing players who are picked, doing little or nothing to justify their selection, and too often we get why didn't other players play, which is soon met with why were they picked. An endless cycle of sh!t.
A season of mediocrity would have been fantastic. This is well below that.

Well Richy like it or not actually can score a goal now and then, even though he is woeful technically....that says it all about our attackers when hes the most useful one! Tel's a complete football killer, thinks his job is to run down dead ends and do nothing, Simons knows how to play a bit but he's lightweight and at premier league level lacks ability due to this. Simons trying little flicks and stuff when we are losing games would drive a manager insane too! We arent in a position to showboat, we need to be as efficient as possible right now.
