lol jokes aside, good luck to him.

Im somewhat of a mystic meg, and i just get this feeling that when conte starts getting a bit nasty and the training intensity goes up, theres going to be talk of conte “upsetting the dressing room” and a few unhappy mates of Masons, and Masons gunna play his hand in bringing down the fall of conte when it all goes tits up and spurs have the enivitable meltdown.

That sounds like total bollocks he can only have watched one or 2 training sessions. There's fuck all he could have seen, most of the training sessions are laid out well in advance anyway.

Club spin to explain them sliding in the boss's little mole in case Conte goes postal early doors.
Got to disagree with this.

The training undertaken by Nuno was said to be widely disliked, confusing, non-communicative, inappropriate for preparation for the forthcoming game and of course as a whole shite as we were getting worse not better.

So, whatever plans were in place under Nuno would have been ditched faster than a sinking ship.

Elite level training sessions can be quite technical to organise when you layer the sports science elements that have individual players on different workloads. But rest assured whoever takes the sessions needs to have the group motivated to perform in them, make them challenging, engaging and fun. Give the players a purpose for doing them buy communicating the goal and effect. So, to have taken a phone call (probably in the evening once the decision to sack Nuno was made) to say you are taking first-team training tomorrow, without any of the backroom staff as they've all been sacked too, and to execute it in a way that impresses the new boss is a demonstration of what makes a good coach.

What exactly has he done to deserve the level of vitriol he recieves from a lot of quarters other than accept a temporary job that likely no one else would take and move up the coaching ladder at a club he loves and has been at for more than 2 decades?
And just maybe people who know a whole lot more than us see something in him.

This whole "Mason's mates" stuff is insulting, self-loathing rubbish.

It's astonishing how we turn on our own, it really is.

He didn't even do badly during said temporary job. The football improved from what we saw under Jose, he had a couple of really decent wins. Played a few footballers people don't like on here, but clearly they can't have been worse than the others. Certainly got the best out of Bale, which Jose never did.

Which all in all, for a 29 year old manager ... fucking well done. Clearly there's something there.

However he did drop bale from the final just after I think he scored a hatrick the previous game. Made no sense to drop bale one of our true gane changers at the time.? Just didn’t make sense. To boot we played absolute gutless in that final didn’t even attempt to win. He had nothing to lose but still didn’t take a chance. Also tanguy who was playing regularly up to that point was discard completely like a bad apple and never to be seen again under mason. His choice but when your trying to win a cup and you bring on sissoko ahead of tanguy then your judgement and professionalism is going to be questioned.

Leicester win was a fluke too

You can't question his friendship however.
