38 games since Rangers have conceded a penalty?!

How Rangers have racked up a second recent remarkable run without conceding a league penalty

Rangers’ endeavours at Tannadice on Sunday may not have automatically appeared to provide a breeding ground for Scottish football’s conspiracy theorists. One statistic generated by the encounter could threaten that, though.
Few considered that the ball striking the arm of Connor Goldson in the area during the Ibrox men’s 2-0 victory over Dundee United merited a penalty – unlike the defender’s hands-up contact in the box against Celtic at Ibrox seven days earlier. The fact neither led to a spot-kick means Rangers have now gone 38 league games – essentially an entire top flight campaign – without conceding a penalty.

Wish someone would put a bit of money into e.g. Hearts / Hibs / Aberdeen so there was some competition for the Old Filth. It’s such a dull league.

It wouldn't even take that much, by Premier League standards. A cheap way into the champions League too if someone did it, since they have two spots again.

Just so everyone knows, if I ever hit the Powerball this is exactly what I'm going to do.

Hearts would be the easiest to get up to OF levels for me. They have the largest support and you’d get loads jumping on any bandwagon you can get rolling. No idea what the Powerball is but you could probably fund an SPL title with a good Euromillions win. Wife might be a bit disappointed with that choice of investment though…

Hearts or Hibernian doing well takes fans for the ride with them but both their stadiums are no more than 20k that’s all they need Scotland as a country is just not big enough in terms of population to have anybody challenge rangers or Celtic, plus nearly every town will have a supporters clubs of Rangers & Celtic and until that changes which it won’t……both of them will have the run of Scotland and the success

A putrid league dominated by two teams who are happy to capture the majority of the support base through a combination of bigotry and glory seeking, laughingly denying it all the way while pointing thier pathetic grubby little fingers at each other.

The level of football has gotten worse and worse over the years. Traditionally the ugly sisters would simply buy the best opposition talent should it threaten them. Now however those few talented players flock to England rather than face humiliation of sitting on the bench as thier team is walloped in the first qualifying round of Europe...

Sadly things are unlikely to change and the slow death will continue. These days junior football teams climb the league's and threaten the remaining teams - that tells you all you need to know about the state of the game. Some teams in the top league barely muster 2000 at home...

For years the authorities have ignored the situation and allowed it to worsen. The only thing all non old filth supporters agree on is that they hate the old firm, that the league would be better without them and that if they ever got into the English league they would be humiliated and hated by a whole new group of people.

Lovely new shirt.

Bet they ruin it by pairing it with tartan shorts or such.
