Competition Scottish football

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Have to say, Celtic’s turnaround this season under Postecoglou is impressive. Won at Rangers today to put the league firmly in their own hands. Celtic looked a shambles at the start of the season.

They get lots of flak, but fair play to Rangers. With a limited budget and a championship level squad they made it to a European final, and they might win.
Hopefully they win it. They've put Scottish football back on the map. Before Rangers, Celtic and co. we're getting knocked out by nobodies in the early qualifying stages of the Champions League and we're finishing bottom of the Europa League groups. But unfair that Rangers built up the coefficient for Celtic to take advantage by winning the League, however if they win the EL, it eclipses everything Celtic has done.

Up to date and not past glories if Rangers do win this cup irrespective if Celtic win the league, Rangers achievement is greater.

Both the Old Firm will potentially be happy with their seasons. Celtic’s turnaround has been impressive under Postecoglou and they take two trophies. Rangers likely to get the SFA Cup and potentially Europa, which would be extraordinary.

Ange has been a success everywhere he's been and each time has stepped up in calibre of club and league.
Wonder where his journey after Celtic takes him. He'll be keen to coach them in the UCL though I bet.

Harsh reality check for the Scots this week. R&C roundly thumped in the CL, and Hearts have just lost 4-0 at home in the Conference League. Thought they might do better thus season as Celtic have looked genuine decent at times, and Rangers did well in the Europa last year.

Interesting.

"If Blackburn Signed Zidane explores football’s greatest ‘what if’ moments and dives into the multiverse to put things right on the timeline. In series two, episode nine, Specs & Tego are joined by Scottish rapper and Aberdeen fan Ransom FA to ask ‘What if Celtic & Rangers had joined the Premier League?’.

In 2009 Bolton chairman Phil Gartside put forward a plan that would have changed the fabric of British football. Would Celtic and Rangers have been top four contenders? Would Sir Alex Ferguson have left Manchester United to join a club in his native Scotland? And what does this all mean for Aberdeen? As always Specs works his magic to change football history…
