Someone like Slot please. Yes he has triffic players but he is calm, his team plays in a calm controlled manner, they are organised at the back, strong in midfield and incisive in attack. Also his way is sustainable and healthy, yes someone like Iraola is making the headlines but that aggressive all action style is punishing on tne players and we will have injuries here just like Bournemouth are having but with the extra games added to a squad not strong enough to cope. So I wouldn't be in favour of Iraola for this reason even if for a short while there would be an improvement but like i said it won't be sustainable, Injuries are a huge red flag.
Slot's team press like maniacs. They were all over us like a rash.

The only reason he can do it is because Liverpool have such a great squad full of robust players. So it's down to recruitment.

They don't press like maniacs, it's much smarter than that. They know when to press, when to sit back, they are also very comfortable at times letting the opposition have the ball and then playing on the counter

anyone else. One match away from reduced compo. My uneducated guess is the guy who is currently out of work and will take a lazy few 100 thousand for a few months to take a good squad of talented players to try & salvage something and potentially advance in a European competition... opportunity of a lifetime.

They compress the game with how they position players then press like fuck whenever their trigger is. They are so hard to play against.

We also have the easiest pressing trigger in the world right now because you just need to push us to either side and then press our forwards and 8's.

It helps that some teams are reffed differently with those types of pressures from behind. All of our players are terrified of losing it and don't expect to get whistles even if they are fouled when they try and shield it. But that's not an excuse, these players need to grow a spine and take on the challenge even if they might get fouled and still have to keep the ball.

Insulting thing being we have the fitness in youngsters to run around them if we have the tactical strategy and coaching. One-touch passing and one-twos would have spliced them apart a few times to have have some chances to shoot. But we have none of all these.

P.S One-touch passing is something so foreign to me now omfg... A skill buried deep under the magnificent stadium.

Our players put each other in the shit when they try play out. Whether that’s because of the weight of the pass or where they are receiving the pass. These things are triggers to go on a full press and we can’t get out. If we go longer we just get swallowed up because our forwards are receiving the ball either wide in a congested area or in the air where we are weak as piss.

Saw this earlier. Iraola would make a lot of sense IMO and think he’s more than earned the chance. Please not Rodgers though

Iraola also had a brutal start to life at Bournemouth. The Brentford win probably means he could afford that brutal start in the league if he came in now but we'd still have EL. If he got us knocked straight out of EL, his time here would be over before it started with large chunks of the fanbase.

Btw what are people saying if a new coach comes in and says they want Gray and Bergvall out on loan and they don’t get on with Spence?
Why would he do that? May as well speculate on what we say if the new coach comes in and does a Roman salute in front of the south stand or lets out a loud fart out at a press conference. Let's hope the new gaffer isn't an idiot I guess.
The more pressing issue is current gaffer. We got to the point where I really don't believe all injuries are bad luck or coincidence. So it's much worse than sending Bergvall on loan, it's actually quite possibly destroying those young footballers careers.
