Match Southampton (h) - Bounce Back Time

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The only thing about Gylfi he seems to be in the range of an apposing midfielder and kind of closes them down without actually tackling them with any conviction, if he improves this he will look better as an all round midfielder, when southampton broke towards the end they drifted straight past him, just needs to get stuck in as he goes 70% then holds back

Got a feeling this is the start of a revival which will see us fall just short of top 4 and will convince levy that sherwood's the right man for the job. Not saying I want us to lose games but I really don't want him as our manager next year

Today was the sort of game the internet was invented for!
Melting negative twats for half the thread.... Glory glory 'told you so' from page 25 onwards!!!
Gotta say, from my 'vantage position' in the West Lower, I really have to ask: what is the point of the West Stand?

No fucker sings, everyone moans, and those that don't, leave early and miss the winner!
Seriously, why bother coming??

Did no one listen to Chivers' wise words at half-time!?

WE REALLY NEED TO SORT OUT THE ATMOSPHERE AT WHL NOW..,,,
The team won despite of us, not BECAUSE of us!

Don't understand this point of view, Levy has never once given a manager the benefit of the doubt. People can say he's a fan of Sherwood but he's appointed every single manager so he has a personal stake in all of their successes. No, I can't see Levy keeping Sherwood around unless he strikes out on 5+ other candidates.

Big ups on the comeback n win. Great goal by Siggy who took it well

And on to Sherwood and that ridiculous high line that is an accident waiting to happen. Especially with a back up inexperienced Fullback in Naughton out there. What ya expect?

Spurs will be punished in Anfield with that same set up. Let's hope he makes a few adjustments , sits deeper n look to work the counter

So if we have a good end to this season and fail to get our number one target in the summer you don't think there is a chance that Levy will think that Sherwood is up to it as evidenced by the last 8 games or so. From memory Jol was brought in like Sherwood til the end of the season and did quite well and got the job full time.

Post match comments were interesting.
All the commentators seemed pro Sherwood and credited the win to him.

I'm still mixed, but I hope he did give them a bollocking at half time. We need a manager and maybe a captain/couple of players that are prepared to be unpopular and speak the truth when things aren't good enough
Team morale and camaraderie are important, but ass kickers are important too

IMO, the manager for next season has already been signed and sealed (and will be announced at an agreed time). thats why sherwood only got an 18 month deal. sherwood made it plain he didnt want a caretaker role, so 18 months was the least levy thought he would get away with.

Just my opinion, of course

I think there would be a list of at least five names including the like of Van Gaal, De Boer, Prandelli, Spalletti, Benitez, and then maybe even Klinsmann and Pochettino that would have to turn it down before we went back to Sherwood barring the remarkable.
