Spurs u23 away at Derby tonight at Loughborough University stadium.

Will be available on RAMS TV.

If Cirkin is not to be seen, it's possible he will be involved in the Middlesbrough FA Cup replay, like wise Eyoma who has started to train with first team squad. Parrott very rarely plays for Spurs youth so his non appearance will not give a clue as to any potential improvement at Boro.

Decent first 25 (with Derby totally undone by two players going off injured) but then an abject performance thereafter, with a defensive collapse.

Eyoma, Walcott, Binks and BLF as a backline with Hinds protecting should not be as bad as they were tonight - Burnett does not know how to organise a team.

Tracey and White probably our best players along with Hinds. Tracey is very Sissoko - a big old handful - but he put in some reasonable crosses tonight - he's certainly better on the right than on the left. He'll probably make a career in L2 I reckon.

Remember Loughborough from Uni sports (BUSA).

Tanganga showing that the gap between academy and first team isn't as great as most people generally think.

Imagine if we decided to give Edwards game time over Nkoudou? Gave Skipp more minutes over Wanyama and Dier? Developed KWP alot more smartly? Etc.

Agreed

Over the last 5/6 years we have only developed Winks out of the academy when we sould have been looking at close to one player a year to join the first team squad (even if one or two were sold on after a couple of years as not meeting expectation)

As another example think a certain CM might have done better had he not been played as a RM in most of his appearances (usually only for a few minutes at a time)

Curtesy of that great champion of youth RESPECT THE COCK RESPECT THE COCK :

I particularly like this bit: "But, if Mourinho really is the ruthless careerist that so many have concluded that he is, perhaps he will decide that entrusting in Tottenham’s youth is at this point his best hope for both immediate and sustained success."

It sums it up pretty nicely. It's in everyone's best interest, that he does something with these youngsters.
