What are your thoughts on Parrott btw? (not the injury)

Parrott has looked a very good prospect in youth football.

Slightly perturbed about some of his social contacts in Ireland, who might divert him from the dedication needed to move from a youth star to a first team star (and plenty of youngsters have failed in the past from similar influences),

Millwall loan looked to be an excellent choice to test him in adult football as he was fast getting to a point where he needed a bigger challenge. Looks like its going to be Christmas (or after) now when he is fully fit to get fully fit and back t making that leap.

I'd hope the focus on Parrott dies down a little, and u21's start to focus on other potential forwards such as Etete (CF), Richards (CF/Winger) and Bennett (Winger/striker) who with suitable coaching 'could' still challenge for the first team or get a decent career in football elsewhere.

cheers for that

Yes, it was reported that he'd come from a pretty dodgy family background. Hopefully by putting a few hundred miles between himself and those peeps in Dublin means that they have little influence on his determination to be the best. Hopefully also some of the Kane determination can rub off on him. If ever there's an example of hard work rewarding you it's surely HK.

It’s more his best mate who is the son of one of the main drug dealers in Ireland. Has been pictured at our training ground with Troy.
He went back to Millwall 2 weeks ago. Rowett estimated he would be ok by the next international break.
Ireland have just fixed up a friendly at Wembley v England on Nov 12th. Might be a chance of a place on the bench by then, hopefully. He really needs to get going this season.
Looking at how Vinicius has started Troy might be looking at a PL loan next season if it goes well at Millwall.

Not bad for a 16 year old (17 next March) to score twice in an u23 match - in 20 minutes ! He did well in preseason even if he didn't score. Potential star ?

No doubt a few friendly u23 matches at the moment with next match on 6 November and next on 22 November and last u23 match in mid October (and one of the reasons why White and Cirkin made bench v Antwerp) allowing opportunities for both younger players and different formations/tactics to be practiced.

Loan update :

Sessegnon played 90 minutes as LWB as Hoffenheim beat Ghent 4 - 1 away in EL

Foyth played 90 mins (subbed in 90 +2) as cb as Villareal bear Qarabag 3 - 1 away in EL

Rumours that Alfie Devine also appeared in the same match, with both players getting the last 30 minutes - also appeared in preseason as well.

As is all too common with youth friendlies, nothing on OS to verify, but given the time intervals between u23 matches, no surprise there was a friendly, and likely there will be another one or two before the scheduled u23 match on 22 November - especially with a large u23 squad and u18's also wanting u23 time.

Happens to all clubs, but sucks to see one we had get away. Exciting to see his path

Last 3 or 4 years Spurs lost players as no youngsters getting through to first team, no confidence vote from youngsters in Poch policy.

When Poch arrived Kane, Townsend, Bentaleb, Mason, Carroll, Veljkovic (6 players) all on the fringe of first team, Bentaleb/Mason was first choice cm pairing in Poch's first year.

All downhill from there for bringing players through - other than Winks. We are now struggling to field enough HG players (see Squad thread post today) as a direct result

Roles not involved at Bradford - even though they are bottom of League 1 both conceding too many goals and not scoring enough, but Roles has hardly been involved - never started and not that many subs on.

Really poor loan, manager seems to have no interest in playing him even though manager needs to change his team (and their awful results).

Totally different to Eyoma who is a starter every week at Lincoln - currently 3rd (equal on points with first and second in League 1)

Noni got 2nd goal and 4th goal for PSV.

Rapidly becoming one of the most highly sought after youngster in europe.

Any chance of him ever returning? Friends and family N17?

Glad for the guy obviously but pig sick that we let him go like that

Remember him being cheered on when playing against us in the Junior CL at Hotspur Way

I cant see PSV wanting to sell him - and his value increasing every week - so he'd probably cost £20m - £30m by the end of this season if he carries on developing at the same rate. And ManU might think he's a cut price Sancho just needing a little development which wouldn't help price negotiations.

He might like to come back in principle - but he's playing pretty regularly for PSV scoring and assisting goals and generally making himself into a top player in a relatively week league at aged 18. No way could Spurs offer more than a fraction of his current playing time - so only deal we could do is to buy him and loan him out to continue his development. Unless loan was in EFL he'd end up classed as an overseas player.

So sadly he's one of the costs of an obviously crazy youth (non) development policy - the last one from that policy who has yet to come back to make us look stupid is likely to be Luis Binks (now at Montreal on loan from Bologna in Seria A) a very good 18 year old 6 foot 2 inch CB with Alderweireld like passing from the back.

Sessegnon had his first start in Bundesliga tonight (has started 2 EL games before and 2 sub appearances in Bundesliga before) and had to move to a CB position after a Hoffenheim player sent off, but did fine although Hoffenheim lost 3-1.

Hoffenheim: Baumann - Posch (Skov 34'), Vogt, Akpoguma - Rudy, Samassekou, Grillitsch (Gacinovic 81'), Sessegnon - Geiger (Baumgartner 62') - Belfodil (Adamyan 62'), Dabbur (Klauss 81')
Unused subs: Pentke, Brenet, Nordtveit, Bebou
