Speedy left winger, also played at LB but sadly never seemed to have enough to play in either position after a couple of loans - played 90 minutes for Spurs against a Cypriot team. Best of luck to him in Cyprus, where his parents came from.

Spurs u23 match this evening v Brighton away.

First one since before Christmas, two changes from last match guaranteed with Okedina and Clarke having gone on loan. Wonder if Roles will feature before going back on loan somewhere ?

Its been 6 months since Malachi Walcott's operation, possibly see the CB returning shortly ?

As a reminder, this was our last match day squad in December v Liverpool :

Austin, Okedina, Lavinier, Marsh, Lyons-Foster, Omole, Markanday (Pedder 74), White (c), Etete, Thorpe (Pochettino 77), Clarke.

Substitutes (not used): Kurylowicz, Mukendi, Skinner.

Really not sure why Sterling is in team - am sympathetic to his injury last year, but he's not done anything on loans or u23's. Risk is that he inhibits Etete.

Better to give minutes to Scarlett or others who need developing.

Good to see Malachi Walcott on bench after 6 months out, and Bowden and Oluwayemi starts

Markanday as LB ?

Line up is usually 1 -11, so this line up :

Oluwayemi
Lavenier, BLF, Omole, Markanday
Marsh, John
Pochettino, Thorpe, Sterling
Etete
Might be a 442 or 433, but Markanday as LB is very likely !

Bowden still only 19. Played in pre-season friendlies for the 1st team.
Marsh and Sterling hopefully being watched by scouts with a view to loans.

With Spurs u18 match v Wham postponed, Spurs youth next match is Spurs u 23 v Wham next Friday 24rd January. So thought its worth looking at the size of u23 squad :

Squad who played Brighton today : Oluwayemi, Lavinier, Markanday (Fagan-Walcott 83), Marsh, Lyons-Foster (c), Omole, Pochettino (Bowden 71), John, Etete, Thorpe (Scarlett 63), Sterling. Substitute (not used): Kurylowicz. (total 15)

On Loan : Eyoma, Okedina, Skipp Parrott, Tracey, Clarke (Total 6)

Training with First Team : Austin, Whiteman, White, (Total 3)

Others : De Bie, Cirkin, Skinner, Ferguson (injured), Pedder, Roles, Cooper, Bennett, Richards, Mukedini, Asante (Total 11)

So a full X1 who Spurs u23's could supplement today's match squad with - and that ignore a few from Academy Year 2 such as Lusala who probably deserves to step up to u23;s and Devine from Academy Year 1.
