Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Awful that the club hasn't prioritised a way to show this. Is there some legal issue blocking it? I'm sure the players would love to have the game streaming live.

Not our day

Sounds like we had to sub our gk early in game
conceded goal half way through first half
Defender sent off just before half time
Conceded 2 goals in 2nd half to make it 3-0 loss.

Then it got worse

Best clubs for young players: global rankings

Issue number 333 of the CIES Football Observatory Weekly Post presents the percentage of domestic league minutes by footballers who had not yet turned 21 at the time of the matches played this season for 999 clubs from 71 top divisions that are currently running worldwide. The highest percentages were recorded for the Danish side FC Nordsjælland (48.9%) among the 30 major European competitions and the Singaporean team Young Lions (47.1%) for the clubs surveyed outside of Europe.

At big-5 league level, the highest figures were measured for Borussia Dortmund (28.5%), followed by three French Ligue 1 teams: OGC Nice (24.3%), AS Monaco (24.1%) and Stade Rennais (20.7%). The greatest proportion of minutes in the other major championships were registered for Wolverhampton (16.2%), FC Barcelona (15.0%) and Hellas Verona (11.7%). At the opposite end, seven teams did not field any U21 player, among which Inter.

The highest percentage overall was observed for FK Metta (88.0%), the team of the Riga’s University of Latvia. U21 footballers played a majority of minutes in two other Latvian top division teams: Valmiera FC and BFC Daugavpils. Ecuador’s club Independiente del Valle (34.3%) and Alger-based Paradou AC (27.8%) lead the table for America and Africa respectively. The average age on the pitch for clubs in the 31 main European leagues are available in the CIES Football Observatory Demographic Atlas.

Any thoughts on the fact that we parachute in our two stars, Devine and Scarlett, to play youth cup games, while not playing them in league games.
Is it a good thing. Has it gone to their heads as they are perceived as a step above the rest. Are they resented by the rest of the team. Is it below them.
Saw the Wimbledon game and they didn’t achieve much, presumably not much better last night.
West Brom are well below us in the league so this result certainly wasn’t expected.
I seem to remember us doing something similar in the CCV days which didn’t work out either.
Not having a dig at them as I have no idea of their characters .
No doubt the club would like to win the Youth Cup ,which is why they do this.

Thanks. What's Lavinier like as a RB ?

I don't think anybody outside the club is able to give a definitive answer as due to covid youth supporters have seen very little of him other than the odd streamed match and an 18 minute cameo in EL.

He's clearly got good skills, and wasn't phased by EL appearance. He's started 17 u23 matches (all but the one after EL appearance) since he arrived in summer playing about 2/3rds of them as RB and the others at LB seemingly as he was best available option there. Still aged 20 and although joining on a one year contract, I'd be astonished if that hadn't been extended already and he wasn't with Spurs next season, possibly on loan at a CL club.

If Spurs were short of a back up RB next season I'd have thought it might be between Lavenier and Eyoma (good season loan at Lincoln City), both very different style of player. Lavenier best as RB/RWB (and indeed LB/LWB) whilst Eyoma best as RB/CB| although perfectly capable at getting forward to deliver a cross ........ and not forgetting Tanganga either.

Our next season's Academy Year 1 is shaping up nicely with Rio Kyerematen joining :

Luke Gunter (GK) - E u15. Signed a 3 year scholarship at Spurs in June, very early
Alfie Dorrington (CB) - often E u15 captain, signed a 3 year scholarship at Spurs in June 2020 - very early.
Brandon Bryan-Waugh (CB) E u16
Tom Bloxham midfielder E u15
Billy Heaps midfielder E u16
Owen Riley (CAM) E u15
Jamie Donley (E u15 and N Ireland u16 striker).

Making 8 of next seasons (most likely) Academy Year 1 players having played for E u15 and E u16's
