If we only sign Berahino today then I would be very happy. I'm not to bothered about a defensive midfielder. We can use Dier there for now who so far has been brilliant and potentially get a defensive midfielder in Jan but a striker is a must. "One man who did not enjoy deadline day is the former Chelsea and Tottenham manager Andre Villas Boas - now the head coach of Russian side Zenit St Petersburg.
"Portuguese paper A Bola are speculating that his “position has been weakened” after being frustrated by the lack of transfer activity.
"Monaco's Joao Moutinho was the key player he is said to have missed out on.
"AVB is also said to be annoyed by a rule in Russian football that restricts the amount of foreign players that you can select in your starting 11."

I'm not sure how any spurs fan can be happy if we don't sign a striker. I'm clinging onto the hope that if we don't sign berahino ( which we won't ) then Austin is our signing and I'll be happy enough with this. I want Berahino but certainly wouldn't be disappointed with Austin
