That "relationship" would be the very thing that Spurs hate Real for. Why would we do that?

The relationship didn't work with Spurs because it was one-way and all about selling our best players to them.

The relationship with Ajax could be about joint scouting operations and youth practices. Ajax are amazing at both of these things and we could learn a thing or two from them, as well as sending players on loan and vice versa. There's a lot of positives to be had. We have done business with them quite easily in the past and relations seem to be decent.

Lots of potential.

Ferreira Carasco?
Would be nice, but tough competition.

On Tuesday Atlético de Madrid took a large step closer to signing Yannick Ferreira Carrasco in a deal that could be completed this week, with the 'Rojiblancos' keen to bring in the winger as soon as possible. Atlético were in constant contact with Monaco all day over the phone - so far it has not proven necessary to travel to the Principality - and now have an agreement in principle for the Belgium international.

Plus now they have new money.
