We've signed Dean Marney! :freundgoal:

Who: Jasper
When: 9th July
Where: SO

DM sorted. Just a matter of time as with striker. Those are kind of close. 2nd striker may be near end of window. 2nd meaning new signing or loan to buy. McCarthy is too much money with high risk fitness wise. If we went for him would imho mean that others failed. Two oversea deals being worked on, even back up ones. All huge exciting potential. The overseas is the ones I refer to at the beginning.

Felipe Anderson from Lazio anyone?

Opinions Totti Totti (forgetting your hatred for Lazio!!)

Saw him quite a lot last season and looks pretty shit hot I thought. Serie A bit of an unknown when then coming to Prem but looks a solid little winger.

Been saying this for weeks, yes yes yes, he is quality, if he can hit the ground running unlike Lamela did on his transition we would have an amazing little player on our hands, very reminiscent of when Hazard was at Lille

Mate your avatar is now full length.
Yeah, so far that's the most startling change for the new look. I wonder who is going to reap more rep for this change, Admin Admin or williams316 williams316

As for Man U spending, it must be repeated over and over how much more they make a season than we do.

They make 250% what we do on match days because of how huge Old Trafford is. Add in the fact that they're on television all the time, even last season, and their share of the TV kitty grows as well. Then there's the fact that they finish above us nearly all of the time. They can sneeze over 100m, and we're not even considering their massive earnings abroad because of their rock-solid brand. Man United beat us by every revenue metric, and they even have more debt than we do. But because they make so, so, so much, they are even servicing the debt.

Complaining about Man U's spending is foolish. They are the club we are aspiring to emulate in the boardroom, but we're not even close to their league yet.

I am now constantly aroused at work. I can't concentrate. I didn't even notice the site had changed to be honest. My career is going down the pan...

Thanks Admin Admin , thanks a bunch.

I don't think we aspire to be them in the boardroom at all. Their ownership is fucking terrible. They've saddled the club with hundreds of millions in debt in order to buy the club...what sort of twisted logic is that!?
They also seem to have very little interest in football and more about the brand and promoting themselves.

Newton Heath scarves tell the picture.

Really not what we should aspire to do. We're debt free. Complete opposites.

Lazio hatred somehow aside. He's an outstanding footballer. Single handedly the reason why they're in the Champions League next season. He's too good for them.

He would bring the fun factor at Tottenham though, not just a tricky footballer but can finish

I suppose I put that badly. The Glazers' stewardship since the purchase has been admirable, I would say, but I may be giving them credit they do not deserve; they inherited the biggest ground in the PL, they inherited the best manager and club in PL history, and so on. Man U could be a perpetual motion machine.

Hello pop pickers ,

We are all off for some wild swimming ( river

Appreciate that mate. Any idea on a rough cost?

I personally feel they've gone backwards under their ownership.

From "Breezer" at Spurs Community:

Nothing ground breaking but bumped into Lennon today and had a quick 5 min chat. Asked how he's getting on. He said he really likes Poch but he doesn't play any senior players and prefers to select kids.
Asked if he's staying. He said he'll speak with Poch. If he's not going to be playing then he's definitely off.
Lastly I told him I rate him more than Townsend and would sell him first! He laughed and said "nah Andros is alrite man".
Edit:
I left him to carry on watching the tennis from the screens in Canary Wharf. Apparently he now lives there! Not ideal if you're driving to the training ground every day!
Lambert was not exactly a kid, neither was Lovren. He was roughly the same age as lennon and Dembele.
Maybe it's more to do with malleability as much as to do with age.

Also can't help but think we should just spunk £30m on William Carvalho and sold our DM problems for the next 5+ years.

Lad is quality.
