Jesus. What about quoting what I responded to? You requested FIVE midfielders/strikers, including Moses.
I'm talking about getting in 2, perhaps 3, TOP QUALITY players. If guys like Moses is what we're aiming for I'd rather keep the money and go for guys like Pritchard. Incredible how stupid you make yourself look in order to (try to) slate me.
You were crying about going with the youth and how homegrown Pritchard deserves a shot.

Now you want to invest maybe 3 quality players...I assume at their expense because it would be "stupid" to fall behind in our push for top 4.

So the back up isnt good enough, or too inexperienced and we need better.

But you spent an entire day calling me a cunt for saying just that.

This line is particularly funny considering.....

When I suggested signing 2 AMs, 2 strikers and a CM (3 of which I said need to first team material, the other two as squad cover) it was shot down as excessive.

....and.....

Our target is 4th and you think its unrealistic to sign 3 top 6 players?

.....and......

Still need IMO:
2 strikers, one to battle it out with Kane, and sometimes partner him, one young squad filler.
Right side AM first choice player, Left side AM to battle with Chadli.
CM: ball winning DM with experience.

That would be a solid improvement on the first team. Lots to be done still.
This last post also states 3 first teamers.

You have bitterly disagreed with my take on what we need to do for signings.
Are you now trying to pathetically claim that the crux of your entire point was all because I think we should also sign a couple of squad fillers to cover sales and potential loans......and you dont?

But all along, you agreed with me about the number of first team quality players that we needed!?

I welcome the contributions from some of our more more distant supporters - indeed, where would we be without their insight and knowledge - 5th! I hear some of you cry - and that is so, but many of you are choosing to say that we were lucky - that the table does, indeed, lie, and our true position was nearer 7th - or god forbid - even nearer 8th.
This 5th place finish in a difficult league was seen as fortuitous - over 38 games - THFC somehow left it's incredibly loyal fanbase fishing for luckies. Astonishingly, some even saw this as a failure - as if champions league football would be secured at the first attempt, while simultaneously building a new stadium in a hapless manager's first season.

Many of these commentators have criticised the fans that do go to the ground - as if it's somehow their fault that the atmosphere is poor on occasion - this atmosphere would surely be improved by the compulsory attendance of our US, European and Australian supporters, but that is not going to happen - booing from the sidelines has sadly become the norm, and we need to really dig deep to make the transfer to the new stadium, a worthwhile, and enjoyable experience.

P.S. Pulled this really pretty media type girl tonight, who claimed to be 27, and was Bob Marley's greatest fan. We're listening to Toots and the Maytals now - and she's making cheese on toast. Isn't it sexy when a woman takes over your kitchen - she was unimpressed with the contents of my fridge though - well, tough. Amy says hi.

P.P.S. Fuck Tottenham.

P.P.P.S. Not really - I'm in the grip of a 27 year old woman who's questioning my devotion to a sorry football club - good for me - she'll be gone after the lunchtime session - or not. Either way is good. She's super lovely.

Unfortunately unless we have a youth player or two that explodes like Harry did, we'll be a long way off of the top 4. The last couple of transfer window our competition has brought in the likes of Ozil, Sanchez, Costa, Fabregas, Depay, Schweinsteiger, Matic, Di Maria, Sterling, Benteke, Ings etc. Meanwhile we bring in Trippier, Davies, Vorm, Stambouli, Alli, Fazio, and alderwield but expect to compete with the team's loaded with world class players. Its just not realistic to think we can come anywhere near those guys. Because let's face it, without Kane scoring 20+ goals last season we do not finish anywhere near 5th.
It's called the EPL and Sky mate. It favours clubs like Man U and Liverpool whilst rewarding cheats like Chavs and City.
Then you have Woolwich who have done what we are trying to do.

No, we can't compete. Nobody in football has the bollocks to do anything about the financial doping of clubs like City or Chavs, they are all making too much money. Anyway, our competition is not Man U, Woolwich Chavs or City. We are light years behind them in terms of revenue ( but not match day in the case of City and chavs) and TV money.
Let's hope we get bought out by Qatar so we all can be happy signing the £40m players and paying them £200k a week. We will then be Sky darlings as we will have the Costa's , Di Maria's and Schweinstigers of the world who everyone wants to pay to watch. A few will be unhappy when White Hart Lane is no longer mentioned and we are the tool of the public relations wing of a Human Rights abusing country, but who gives a bollocks we will have the big name signings each summer.
Anyway, 6 points was the difference between £104 m net spend and a minus £1m spend last year. And the £104m net spend did not have any European football.
Even Liverpool can outspend us and they have spent £140m net (so far) under Rodgers since 12/13. One time they have finished above us, without European football.

Tottenham Hotspur Blog News -
Sky Italia are reporting that Italian side Fiorentina have won the battle with Turkish side Galatasaray for the signature of Vlad Chiriches.
Galatasaray were only offering £3.5 million while Spurs wanted more, but Sky are suggesting a deal will be agreed in the next 48 hours with Fiorentina for a £707,589 loan deal for this season with an option to buy next summer set at £3.5 million.

We really need a signing. This place is a shitshow right now. All the levy haters, can you at least wait until the end of the window? Who knows what'll happen this next month.

Especially considering that he said this only two weeks ago.

So really, we haven't deviated from the stated plan.
There's a natural frustration that can creep in when other clubs are making moves earlier, and the beginning of the season (with a big-ass game against United no less) draws near, but people really need to relax...

If nothing else, we'll have an exciting August!

Seen our name touted to Jose Callejon from Napoli, would be a good signing if Lennon is on his way out. If the Telegraph is to be believed it's between us and Chelsea.

Guys, I am no ITK (lol), but Werner will definitely not be coming this transfer window. He is a great talent, yes, but really struggled when Stuttgart last season played against relegation. Hell, the boy missed out some games in 13/14 because he had to finish school. It would be way to early to bring him to the Premier League.

Get Berahino this season.

why would u limit yourself for the last 2 wks of the transfer window. there will be less targets & selling clubs will know times ticking & u are pretty desperate for their player.
also they miss out on bedding in & a few important matches.
the only plus side us if a player wants out & the club want him shifted too. in which case they will be desperate to sell. but that is a very small % of transfers.
