Couldn't agree more I think we have done very well to address our problems at the back, but I still think our biggest issue was at striker.

Kane was tremendous but we can't possibly have him playing 50+ games this season even if he remarkably never picked up a knock.

Ade and Soldado are so far gone and looks like both are on the verge of moves. So we are 11 days from the start of the season and Kane's only backup is Coulthirst. I don't understand how management have left us so short at striker. Almost inevitable Kane will pick up a knock now and we will end up having to play Chadli up top with lack of other options.

So Coulthirst isn't the only backup, if Chadli can play there too?

As much as I'm pleased with the signings we've made, and the players we've sold, it's not enough. We can't go into a season with Coulthirst as a back-up to Kane... the mere thought of Mason and Bentaleb vs. Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger is giving me fucking nightmares

It isn't like this striker situation has snuck up on us. We should have bought one in January having to rest Kane is a big reason we were knocked out of Europa and FA Cup.

The other issue is we have left it so late that any clubs who we approach to buy a striker is going to up the price knowing we are desperate to bring one in.

Bentaleb bossed Schneiderlin last season vs Southampton, also Schweinsteiger is slow and old whereas Mason will run rings around him and snap his shit up.

Where has this Coulthirst shit come from? Dude ain't good. We'll keep one Soldado or Ade far before throwing him in.
Pretty sure their were afew reports in January saying that Poch was impressed by him and will give him a chance, hes nippy and will work hard as he would want to play for us, I reckon he would be alright as an impact sub, obviously we need a new striker tho!

Well neither of those are training with the first team and been made clear to both they are on their way. Not to mention both of them have been shit for some time now.

I agree regarding Coulthirst which is the concerning part. We have plenty of talented youngsters from the academy I would like to get a chance but Shaq aint one of them.

“If you punch before the opponent, you have half of the job done,” Pochettino told Standard Sport. “For us, it’s important to work hard during the season to take early decisions. This is always important in football. I think that we need to be more clever than the teams that invest more money than us. It is for that, I am very happy because we create a very strong institute now and follow the players around the world. We need to arrive earlier than these teams that have more possibilities to invest than us." - April 2015 :pochfacepalm:

I think by earlier he meant before they are considered £20m pound talents. Not that we must act early in a transfer window.

I might be wrong.
