This just pisses me off even more. Not one player here played in the CL with us now.
Lennon is better than Lamela. What the fuck are we doing?
It's simply not true that a player that plays EL on Thursday can't play PL on Sunday. You should avoid having the same 11 play two games a week, but allowed some players to do so, while using the squad well, should be no problem.
We have plenty of AM options, so having to play an AM as a striker every now and then would be no problem.
Mason did well as AM, Dembele has been great, Eriksen and Chadli we know are quality, and then there is Pritchard and Son.
Our attacking options are fine.
And we've strengthened our defence.
We have a better squad than last season.
Defensively yes.
Then again, when we're discussing Lennon and his defensive work is what we praise him most on, it's time to call it a day. A shadows shadow of his former self.
Yet Stambouli hasn't started once for Lyon. He has only made the bench once so far and came on for last 20 mins when they lost 2-0 to PSG when they were 2 down.
I don't know what the problem was with Stambouli. He looked like he fitted in with the tactics but just looked a yard off the pace to me.
Call me cynical but haven't we bid way lower than clubs were asking on so many other occasions with Levy, you could argue thats our chairman trying to get the best deal for the club or you could say its a blatant and very public attempt to appease fans like us--'oh look we bid loads for Berahino but unfortunately we couldnt get him' so our NET spend this summer is less than a million assuming we got 4mill for Aaron.
He's done shite like this before most notably with Suarez and Aguero, bidding 5million less than was asked- a year later in each case they are signed by teams ahead of us and become the two best strikers in the division while we get people like Saha, fucking Crouch and re-sign Keanes and defoes.

Have a very very bad feeling about this season, some very young inexperienced lads are going to have to step up extremely quickly for us to even be in the top 8.

Oh do fuck off. Sick and tired of happy clapper cretins who will make excuses whatever the club do. We NEED another striker. We NEED a DM. These have been known for ages. Window after window we don't fill our most obvious needs...and many times it's because of this one directional approach from Levy of having one target and leaving it until the last second.
I've always tried to stay positive. Years I have defended Levy, and then accepted him as the lesser of two evils, but how much longer can we just accept the same shite without asking questions?
Dembele is fucking awesome at tackling. What's wrong with him playing as the DM of the two. He may not like it but tackling is one of the things he does best. His stats for tackles and interceptions per game are up there with some decent DM's.

Stop fooling yourself with claiming that the situation is okey because we have both N'Jié and Son that can play striker. We needed a new striker. You know it, I know it and the club knows it (otherwise we wouldnt have bid for Berahino FIVE times). The fact that we only have one natural striker is EMBARRASING. I have almost always supported Levy with different things and accepted some of is more stupid decisions, but this has made me fucking mad. I'm tired of this bullshit.
Saw some stats an hour ago, we have had a negative net spend over the last 10 years combined, west Brom have had a £40m net spend this window alone. We now have the 12th lowest wage bill in the league. All this despite the club being the 13th richest in the world, and joe Lewis being the 4th richest owner in the league.

For one when he has played there the last few seasons he goes on his walkabouts and gets caught in possession in dangerous areas. He has played fairly well as an AM why change it? Well on second thought I guess we have to play a number of our players out of their natural positions because we failed to sign positions of need...I digress
