Do you know football? We haven't sold any of our players that made a difference last season. Nabbed Son & Alderweireld from champions league teams. Our team is a year older. Now you idiotic cunt how has this been a bad window for us? Wow we didn't sign Berahino we're definitely going down.
We have improved the first team and the squad, how is this not obvious?

We've signed an under 21 Cameroonian youngster that wasn't even a regular starter in a piss poor French league.
A South Korean, who lets be fair was only really signed to appease the German clubs South Korean shirt sponsors.
A Belgium CB who in 4 games looks like giving away as many goals as the other Belgium CB by brain farts when not even under pressure.

Yes I understand a forwards role although these days player rotate on the pitch and center forwards how you discribe is only part of thier job. They go wide and players wide come inside. Players are not individual anymore they play in triangles. Who gets behind defenders, teams sit so deep, its almost impossible.

I think both of these teams are more than capable of beating most teams in the league. With the new injection of pace from Son and N'Jie it adds a dimension we didn't have last season. Plus we have a bit more depth in the squad. No need to panic yet..

You have never seen the 2 new boys play but you're confident they will be great and improve the team.
I would rather Townsend and Lennon but there you go.
I wouldn't have minded a decent foil for Kane too. I guess it's just me. But I like to see us actually improve the team.
A Cameroon international footballer at a young age who did start many games for a strong Lyon last season.
A South Korean International who fits our style as in he works very hard and can scores goals. Is also very quick and good on both feet.
A Belgium Cb who is our best defender we have atm, better than Vertonghen & whoever you think ia better.
Division 2? Sorry we haven't signed anyone from Division 2.
Just because you're not happy with the signings doesn't make it irrelevant that our team and squad has improved. I don't know how long you've supported this club but because you disagree with what I say I know fuck all? You genuinely have no logical argument other than we should have signed a striker which I approved.
So, after the disappointments after deadline day let's look at how the squad looks until January:
Keepers:
Lloris, Vorm, McGee
Brilliant to keep Hugo, although this could be his very last season for us. Fantastic to have him for one more year though. McGee looks talented.

RB: Walker, Trippier
With Yedlin out on loan, it means that we will have healthy competition on the right. It was a problematic position last season. Kyle has finally a capable rival for the position

Alderweireld, Fazio, Vertonghen, Wimmer
This part of the squad also needed strengthening and with Wimmer and Alderweireld we look much better. I thought Fazio had some decent games last season and with Dier moving into midfield for some games I can see him starting with Wimmer in the Europa League for instance. On paper this looks good. I am hopeful that Jan and Toby can build a very good partnership like at Ajax. Good decisions to let Kaboul and Vlad go.

Rose, Davies
A position that didn't need changing after last season imho. Davies needs to up his game a bit for me, but Rose is twice the player I thought he would be. Think he might improve further too..

Midfielders:
Bentaleb, Dier, Mason, Alli, Vejlkovic, Winks
I am worried that this part of the team will be too inexperienced. One older statesman would have been good, but there is a lot of promise in this group, with especially Alli looking very good. I don't regret the decisions to sell Paulinho, Capoue, but I think it would have made sense to keep Stambouli. The likes of Winks and Vejlkovic might get chances in the Europa League.

Attacking midfielders:
Dembele, Eriksen, Lamela, Chadli, Clinton, Son, Townsend, Onomah, Carroll, Pritchard
We got a lot of different options here now, and the one thing we really lacked - pace - have been added. Dembele needs to be more direct and he is with Lamela and Townsend among the players who really needs to show their worth this season. Exciting to see whether Onomah, Pritchard or Carroll can make an impression this season already. Perhaps in the Europa League? Clinton and especially Son will be very exciting to see. The latter may become a favourite for the crowd.

The discussion whether Son. Chadli and/or N'Jie Clinton are attackers or strikers will go on, but I still have the opinion that we don't have that central forward that can alone on top when Harry needs a rest or god forbid gets an injury. Harry is class though. And we won't promote Ade back into the squad will we?

So many points of view. All with merit. Let's be fairer with each other, we all want the best for the club, I'm certain of that.
Let's be honest though leaving the team with only one recognised striker, who we can't be sure is the real deal yet, is absurd. It's irresponsible and naive.
We can sign players again in four months, so hopefully we could move for a striker then!
I'm torn over the Berahino deal. He's not worth more than Pedro, that's for certain. But part of me, the part pining for the drama, wanted us to pull something off. In the end, I'm happy we didn't get sucked into paying over the odds for a bang average player.
I have hope that Son and N'jie could do a job for us.
Worst case, let's recall Oduwa or promote Harrison and give them a go!

As long as our defence improves , which it will and other players, than Kane start scoring goals , which I hope they do, thing will get better. We played all last season with one decent forward and did well. Im disapointed tgat SB didnt arrive. Move on please.
What style? We have no style bar passing sideways and letting in goals. Time will tell on Son. I hope he is devastating. I won't be celebrating an unknown just yet. I have even less hope for N'jie.
If Toby is our best then worry. Worry like I do. He will need a season at least and a regular cb pairing. Verts and our game load will see if your predictions and optimism will see if he's the new Kompany or King. I doubt it. Maybe in 5 years. Maybe.
Alli came from Div 3. Sorry
The lad from League 2 (not division 2) looks extremely promising to me. No idea how you can count that as a negative? I think the signings we did, and the outgoings too were alright. The things lacking were the obvious striker signing(s) and the defensive midfielder.
