We are coming off our best finish and having made the most money we've made and are going into a year where we will have more important matches against better teams.....and we sell more than we buy. I just don't get the thought process behind what might be called the 'Mike Ashley' approach to Premier League housekeeping. Spending as little as possible to keep H.M.S. Newcastle afloat has proved to be a false economy now that relegation financial realities hit home.
