I think we haven't quality alternatives to Dembele & Dier in the midfield like we have in the other lines, Kante would be a great signing.
We need to either integrate Cameron Carter-Vickers into the line up or buy a centre half. We simply cannot keep taking away our best defensive midfield footballer and weakening the line up by putting him in centre half.
We also need cover for defensive midfield. I'm happy with Alli, Dembele and Dier as central midfield options but when Dier doesn't play there, it's a mess. Absolute mess.

I used to think Nir Biton from Celtic was decent, but I haven't seen enough. Sure you can find better ones.
A defensive, clever midfielder, fairly static, is must. Mascereno would be awesome

If we don't get poach anyone, I consider those 3 playertypes to be a must. We simply need those players to evolve futher. Could be argued we needed dem in august too.
