He wasn't ready for the move - Their whole transfer strategy the past few seasons has been strange in general.
If we get the player he showed he was capable of being at Valencia - then he'd be an asset.
I think the biggest difference is then we were buying a shed load of players to try and integrate into the first 11 and rebuild the team....here we're adding to the squad, but none of these players HAVE to take over a first 11 spot. Aside from Aurier for Walker, we're not asking anyone to replace a significant contributor here. Sanchez taking over in the back 3 would be nice and free up Dier to play more in midfield.
But if these players flop we still have the same squad, bar Walker, that came 2nd last year.
