Can you imagine if we are playing against a team playing 10 behind the ball and we have Kane, Fernando, and Janssen all on receiving crosses from Eriksen, Rose, Aurier/Trippier? I don't think all three would be on at the same time but I don't know how they would defend all three!

1386, amazing thread. A humble curtain down summary:

Snachez and Aurier added pace at the back allowing us to play high line. Teams thesedays invested so much at wingbacks to play 3 at the back. In Aurier and Rose, we look strong in wingback battles.

Llorente brings plan b option. Against park bus teams he will help us. We won so many free kicks and corners against Chelsea and Burnley. If only Llorente was with us...

Policy of buying into future is proven. 1 out of 10 comes good is good enough. Rose, Walker, Alli, Dier etc... Now Foyth

Hello Gazza!

Barkley rejecting Chelsea is magic sweet...

Good to go now. Very entertaining window and thread. Thank you!

Overall a very good window, with quality signings in my opinion. Got to say that Llorente was a big surprise for me but one that makes total sense. An experienced player who is strong on the ball and in the air (seven of his fifteen goals were headers) and a player who offers a different option for the team.

From the back we now have true pace, guile and aggression as well a footballers who can play the ball under pressure, and again players for now and the future.

Season three for Poch since he has had chance to form a squad in his own image and i have to say that if we can stay pretty much injury free we have a real chance i feel to pick up some silverware this season.

Credit also should go to Levy for supporting Poch on the transfers and to the club scouts who must have worked hard in tracking Sanchez and Aurier over the last few months.

Last of all a word about Walker, who i think has made one big mistake in taking the money and running. If (and i think we can) keep the vast majority of this squad together and add a couple more before we move into the new stadium then i think anything is possible over the next four or five seasons which is something that will give these young kids some pride and joy. Something that Walker will i feel deep down be disappointed to miss out on.

Decent window after all the fuss. Let's get on with it now.

I think with the gooners it's going to be better having Sanchez there who is sulking and will leave in January, than if the got Lemar......oxlade going, Ramsey annoyed.....disaster

Chelsea got Drinkwater who is bang average but that will still hopefully see Leicester disappear. Still haven't forgotten you cunts.

Conte made a mess with Costa, now they got one striker.

Liverpool sold there best defender to Palace and didn't get Van Dijk. Great stuff.

I see good things in time

Wow I actually agree with most of what you said. Liverpool are obviously still excellent going forward but haven't addressed their defensive concerns. Woolwich are still a shambles. I still don't think we're good or strong enough to win the league as I feel other clubs ( united and city ) have strengthened far more with key players. I think the signing of Llorente is a shrewd one and adds much needed strength in attack. We could of done with a fast wing forward but let's hope Nkoudou can step up. Disappointed we didn't get Barkley but with his injury , maybe it's not such a bad thing and we can snap him up in Jan.

Think we have a nice compact squad now with a variety of different options.

In the 3-4-3 formation we've been playing recently I always thought the right-hand side was the weak point with Walker/Trippier and Dier always prone to switching off or opening up the circus, as we saw against Burnley. I think Dier is much more comfortable in midfield and Sanchez and Aurier address this area with pace and aggression.

I think Llorente provides more of a ready made option from the bench or as cover. He will take the pressure off Jansen so who knows and we forget that Kane and Janssen are still young so they can learn a lot off him. He will be a great option at set-pieces.

It was a shame maybe that we didn't get Gomes. I suspect Barkley will join in January now the way things played out with his Chelsea medical...

I like the fact that Sanchez has Ajax experience that should help him adapt faster with Jan and Toby. Also Llorente is a proven Premier League striker which means he should be able to gel with the team quickly. Aurier is the interesting one, if he does get in to the system quickly that would prove to be an excellent set of transfers.

With Foyth I'm not sure if he will be able to go straight in, he will need to learn English, he will need to adapt to the pace of the team. Hopefully we'll be able to see the potential in him and it does seem assuring that he wanted to come here.

I think you have to add in that the international break will help in getting Wanyama back to match fitness, Rose can't be too far off and Lamela should be back soon, so we have some options to come in to play.

I'm pretty happy with that.
