I thinkBarkley will still go to Chelsea. He'll have had a medical that showed he won't be fit until later in the year, so they've said to him to go back and they'll sign him in January and give him the fee as a signing on, rather than pay Everton.
According to the bbc, 'sources close' to him are saying he never agreed terms, never had a medical and turned them down flat. Which makes more sense than going through the whole terms, then medical, agreeing everything, then saying "err no, not signing'

I think Llorente and Son, or Kane and Son up top would work well. Kane and Llorente are too similar.
I don't think Kane and Llorente are that similar.

Llorente is more of a target guy. Stick him up in the box and just deliver balls to him. Kane is more of a player and works to create chances on his own. Granted I based that off of how Llorente plays for Swansea right now.

I see more similarities between Llorente and Vincent, but Vincent is more of a diamond in the rough. Hopefully he can learn from uncle Fernando.

Walker £50m
Wimmer £18m
Bentaleb £17m

What a lovely window.

it did cause a lot of pane to some people

I believe we made good signings in this transfer window, the squad is stronger than it was last season. The manager and the board are working together for the good of the club and we are in good place.

We fans have to change mentality. Our main aim is to win matches, win trophies. We shouldn't care about the financial side of the club, balance sheets is not our business. We don't care if we are in the green or the red in a transfer market. The current board with Daniel Levy and his team are the ones who are responsible and accountable to the financial matters. Being in the green in tr/mrkt or top 4 is not a trophy. The board is backing the manager 100% and the new stadium and results are good on the pitch. The THFC board is doing an excellent job.

We club supporters are behind the team to win trophies and leave the running of the club to DL.

PS. Deluded fans with losing mentality disagree.

I care whether we are in profit - for the simple reason that being in debt costs money.....money that we then wouldn't be able to spend in future

According to the radio i'm listening to now, Barkley is a money-grabing whore who's waiting 'till January so that he and his agent can pocket some extra signing-on money.

Nothing to do with not wanting Chelsea...apparently.

I did say THFC board are doing excellent job and if you don't trust them then that's your opinion and is a negative one. If you care or don't care about profit or loss won't change anything. You are not share holder and you have no say how the club is run.
Change mentality. We want tophies, we are in safe hands.

Yet to read a lot of comments on her but happy with the outcome of the window. I was always in the middle of the argument between the happy with current squad/cannot beat our first 11 extreme and those wanting a massive outlay.
I have always admired Fergie's approach in adding 2/3 players each season. With 3 major signings and 2 for the future that is good.
With 3 matches in the first week after the International break, the so called first 11 could not play 90 mins in all 3 and we can now give a rest to key players even if it is only 30 mins. The bench will be far stronger and 3 strikers covers for injury to 1 and still having an impact player on the bench. Barkley in January? far to early to think about that but a possibility. We still made a profit of transfers and ended up stronger.
