If Gomes is brought in for depth its a good signing. It's not improving our best XI, but considering our non-existent midfield, we need to sign some depth. Good price in current market as well.

I don't think we are going to get Ndombele but if we can sign someone like him that is what we really need.

Sadly, relying on Dier, Wanyama & Winks moving forward simply is too much of a risk. Whilst I don't think Dier will show signs of long term injury stop and starts, Wanyama and Winks show it too often and it's reckless to not have extra bodies in there.

If we can have a midfield consisting of Winks, Gomes, Sissoko, Ndombele, as well as either Dier or Wanyama I think that's pretty much bang on what would be required for Poch & Spurs to open that next chapter.

Get Skipp out somewhere on loan and make a tough call on Dier or Wanyama and I think that's pretty rosy. It would mean we won't go after Diawara, Berge or Rabiot mind.

Plenty of options in the market this season in key areas such as RB, CM and potentially AM. It makes our decision to keep our powder dry last summer look even more prudent and shrewd now. Hopefully we have seen enough quality out there to feel convinced moves are right this time around, which I think we will withna few departing regardless of if they want to stay or not.

I don't think it's a tough call between Dier and Wanyama - Dier can play two different positions which makes him great depth. Wanyama has one job and he's so hampered by injuries he can't even do that one.

Vic looks way done. His knee is shot just look st him limping during the semis celebration. No clue wtf us up with Dier but we’re on a higher level and need a huge squad renovation

Who is a good van de Beek comparison? He impressed the hell out of me in the Champions League.

Looked very tidy, not sure what his best position would be. Don’t see him as an Eriksen type, but he seems too attacking for a centre mid.

He’d cost a lot but seems like he’d be a good investment.

Personally hope we get Grealish as I think he could be every bit as good as these players.

I'd love Grealish too...if he came with any sort of credentials. 30 EPL matches for the worst Villa side ever and 10 good games this year is some career to date.

Grealish would fit perfect. He is homegrown, young, can carry the ball forward, and has goals in him.
