Transfers Summer 2019 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

“We cannot live like we lived in the last five years — on the perception side and on the reality side. We achieved a lot of things, we overachieved maybe. Because of our ambition and the way that we work, we’re here now in a very good position.

“But what next? I cannot guess because it’s a club decision. What can we expect now? One question the other day was, ‘is the depth of the squad not at the quality of the new stadium?’

“If we start next season talking about that, nothing good is going to happen in the future. The perception and the feeling are not going to be right.”
- Pochettino.

As much as I respect, love and admire Levy for what he has done for our football club it looks like Poch is starting to get genuinely pissed off with not being backed in the transfer window. He's a top, top manager - whether or not he remains ours mid/long term might depend of whether or not Levy will be prepared to unclench his anus and pop out some cash for Poch to splash on players that HE wants.

I read an article the other week where Redknapp was going on about how he asked Levy to sign Tevez and Cahill back in 2012. Levy said he'd see what he could do... he ended up giving him Saha and Ryan Nelsen instead. Granted that was a while back, but if we're serious about silverware, Levy is going to have to change his tune at some point.

How? If Eriksen refused to sign, and as he claims it has nothing to do with wages, how exactly would you make him sign? break his legs? True we could have sold him for 100m plus, however if Eriksen couldn't be adequately replaced then selling him would have risked us being mid-table, thus costing us 100m in European money and untold loss in marketing income ... how would that seriously be a sensible business option?

Because losing him for less, or nothing, is the same problem, just worse. You only have the options you have.

I reckon we should all post our faeces to Levy if he doesn't sign anyone this summer.

Anyone got the address?

I don't want to send it to the training ground in case Pochettino mistakes it for another shit signing.

Praying levy starting to crack a bit after watching our recent form & thin squad on their last legs. The only positive to take.
