Don't shoot the messenger here, but I took a gander at the Red Cafe this morning and they're pissing themselves laughing at the reports Levy is prepared to give Poch a '100 million warchest'. Apparently that's pittance and we fail to back Poch. Obviously they all covet Poch.

We can talk them down to €75-80ms like the article says. That’s just shy of £70mil. Time to act like a big boy club I say. Can’t have that stadium, that training ground, be establishing ourselves in the CL and not want to reinvest in the playing squad that will keep us in that position. Speculate to accumulate.
£50m + Eriksen = 2 or 3 decent players (not up to Eriksen's level). This plus Sessegnon, Loftus-Cheek and Zaha. Cheeky offer for Ben Chilwell or Wan-Bissaka and bingo. Mind you that's £200m - £250m gone in a flash so our potential £100m war chest looks a bit empty. Problem is if we sell all our unused squad members we end up with a smaller squad and potential problems if we have a similar injury crisis next season. Who'd be a football chairman or manager eh?

Some times that comes down to just not fitting in at a club/their style. Or just not fitting in the league. Kovacic usually plays centrally for Madrid but has had to play on the flank for Chelsea right?
Funnily enough had this debate with a mate yesterday (b4 reading this). I agreed with your point but he started to talk me round.
One advantage of him is that he’s a striker who can play on the wing rather than a winger who can play up top. Given our circumstances with Kane that would be handy.
However, would still pay the £25m or whatever it would be, for Josh King who I think would be a great squad addition and count as HG (plus a Norwegian buddy for Sander Berge
