At least it seems more plausible than N'Dombele.
I think we will absolutely be after him BUT given the calibre of the competition after him too, I don't think we stand much of a chance. They can blow us away on wages (the purchase price I don't think is an issue). The only thing in our favour would be that he's still very young and if you look at our midfield he would be the absoultely first name on the team sheet in midfield. All those other clubs can't offer him that and that's perhaps more important at his stage in his career (he's ONLY 22yrs). Look at Dele & Kane behind the scenes I bet they have had swarms of agents and elite clubs doing what they can to get them, but had they gone I doubt they would have played much.

It's not like we are a mid-table club given guarantees too, 3rd, 2nd, 3rd and 3rd/4th in Premier League. League Cup finalists, League Cup Semi-finalists, x2 FA Cup Semi-finalists and now CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINALISTS. Not to mention the best training ground and Stadium in the world + PL and London pull. Our pitch to him would be one of the best he will receive. Oh, his influential National hero Captain happens to also be our Club Captain too, so having the opportunity to form a partnership with fellow countryman and possibly POTY Sissoko might be all the reasons for him to sign and settle at Spurs.

Fuck I'm a shit hot salesman.

So you are saying that we gonna spend +£100m on midfielders alone?

With the money accumulated from last summer rolled into this one, why not if it's there?

For me a £26m move for Andre Gomes is a complete no brainier. Talented, big & strong, excellent depth added and has a point to prove after slowly growing into his own whilst playing at Everton. If there was enough of him when he had confidence running through him for Barcelona to have signed him a couple of years ago for a fee that's higher than what we are being quoted, with inflation going insane I think it's a perfect deal to be done.

3 years ago he was a 35m Euro signing so to get him for closer to 30m Euros is really good business this day and age. With Poch constantly talking about closing this chapter and the next stage of our teams evolution I really wouldn't be surprised to see big money spent this year. Saying that if we don't I'll trust the club and support them regardless.

A new RB, CB probably, 2x CMs and either an AM, WF or backup FWD probably required so we don't have to leave ourselves playing the likes of Eyoma, Skipp or Marsh in cup games or cameo bench roles.

For me the perfect window would be Atal, De Ligt, Gomes, Ndombele, Brandt but that won't happen. I do however think a window consisting of Atal, Andersen, Gomes, Ndombele & Grealish if Aston Villa don't get promoted is well within our reach. Juicy coin required though so we'll see how it pans out
