Was it a match-winning goal?

Lloris saved a penalty at our place and it gets little or no mention.
I agree with u about this. Lloris made some vital saves in 2nd leg too so i for one will not forget his contribution. But the WHOLE squad has contributed in some way. Even Davies and Tripps with vital crosses etc...people say Eriksen ain't been great in this champions league but even he got an early vital winner in a group game. Psv....Inter Milan? Can't remember......but fair play to all our squad.

Yes, I agree with you.

I don't think Bale actually means anything by the whole "robot" thing.

He's just looking for anyway to get out of Madrid at this point. Not gonna happen without a pay cut though.

At the time he was the only hot girlfriend we had. Now we have a bunch of them but the memories of her still keeps us thinking at night sometimes.

For some he will have been their 'first love'; if not it's far easier to get over.... See Gazza, Hoddle, Waddle amongst other hero's that left for other clubs.

(Not a dig at young/newer fans.... Just is what it is.)

There are very few like for like Eriksen replacements out there though, especially if Brandt does go to Dortmund.

I think we'd probably (if Brandt goes elsewhere) be better off buying another quality 8, and a really top quality AM with some brains and composure who will pick up some of the creative/assists/goal slack that we will lose with Eriksen. Personally if we can't get Brandt, and we get NDombele, I'd think about Fekir and someone like Rabiot, Havertz, Aouar, Maxi Lopez, Tielemans and just playing a bit differently (433 more often hopefully).

Do you think Havertz could play that role? Always thought of him as a genuine attacker with Brandt behind him.

Yes against Inter set up by a certain Mr Sissoko

Havertz would be great as a wide attacker for us. If Pochettino moves away from 4231 then Havertz wide with a new CM as an 8 would be really decent, so long as that CM is positionally aware enough.
