You probably have a point but I think it just speaks to our differing tolerances for being wrong. :pochsmirk: But my therapist says there's a first for everything so I should branch out and experience the novelty of such things, to feel more like everyone else. So you are helping me in my growth and maturation.:pochlol:

If you gave me the choice I would go with Ndombele + Lo Celso, assuming Eriksen is gone. Why? Because although it would lack a pure DM it would give me a feisty 3 of Winks, Nd, and GLC (Sissoko as well) and a more stout 3 by removing Winks and inserting Dier while retaining the footballing aspects of the MF.

If Eriksen is staying then a mobile, ballplaying DM + Ndombele.

so if your real underlying question is who do I value more for transfer between Ndombele and GLC then the answer is Ndombele...always an 8 before a 10 in my book.

If he just batted that question away with the cliched lie about "loving the club and having a contract blah blah..." then moved to Real Madrid two weeks later, we'd all be calling him a duplicitous cunt wouldn't we ?

Do any of us think we aren't going to be consolation to Real or Barca?

At least we all know the exact truth now.

Not sure you read my post fella.

I stated clearly I have no issue with the attitude. I stated clearly I believe us to be a consolation for most players.

I just don’t want to hear it so clearly from our players. Fuck that. I’ll have a platitude leading to shouts of duplicity any day of the week.

And rightly so imo. Even if Levy was never the sort to let anybody leave on anything other than our terms, we should strongly guard against going back to days of being seen as a sub-par club, where players can leave when they reach a certain level and someone more fancy comes knocking.

I'm reminded of one of the few nice things to come out of Mourinho's mouth. He said of Azpilicueta something I feel would apply to Winks.

If we had 11 Winks', we would win a major trophy every year :pochohshit:

Obviously not as in 11 of him in physical stature and football skill set, but in terms of mentality. Calmness, grit, anticipation, awareness, attitude, vision etc.

TBH I want him gone for the cash. Weve had his best years. Id like to bring in couple of younger players with the money
